Chapter 1

    Nicole's pov

   How do I end up in these situations with him? I hate Nick. This isn't the first time either.

   Niki: Nicky I don't wanna do this,  please?

   Nick: Shh,  you already promised. Not fair,  you're my best friend. We have go do stupid stuff.

   Niki:  yes but my mom is gonna get mad again.  She said next time I would never see you again.

    Nick: don't worry, she can't break us apart.

   I smiled and watched Nick go in and distract the dude. Once he wasn't paying attention. I snuck to the back and in the door. I left the door open and went to each cage and let all the animals out, releasing them from their torture. I ran to the spot Nick told me to wait at. Nick came running in, breathing all hard.

   Nick: come on!  We gotta go!

    I was confused. He just grabbed my hand and ran.  Once we got far enough he hid us. Whispering as he talked to me.

   Nick: maybe it didn't go as planned.

   Niki: why? What happened

   Nick: they mo who I was and when the animals ran out.  They figured it was me.

   Niki: you need to stop causing trouble.

    Nick: yes yes.  Right now we need to get back to my house before they do.

  We kept running thru bushes,  woods..  anything that could hid us from the public so no one could see us. I was running out of breath,  Nick just picked me up and put me on his back,  getting to his back door and running in. Nick screaming Joe and Kevin.

   J&k: what?

   Nick: me and Niki did something stupid. If the police knock on the door and ask questions Niki had nothing to do with it. She was here the whole time.  Alright??

Kevin: fine,  this is the last time. Stop putting niki in these situation of yours.

  I couldn't believe Nick.  He always did this.  Protecting me from trouble so I don't get in trouble with my mommy. Then there was a knock on the door. Kevin went and answered it. We saw it was the police but Kevin stepped outside before anyone could heard anything. After 10 minutes Kevin came back inside with the police.

   Kevin: They are putting you on house arrest, cause you keep causing trouble. You're gonna be on it for 2 months.

    Nick: what?  Is that even fair??

    Kevin: it's better than going to court and possibly going to juvenile jail.

  I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My best friend,  on house arrest.  Wait,  what is house arrest?

   Kevin: I think it's best if Joe takes Nicole home.

   Joe: sure

 

  I hugged nick, crying. Nick just hugged me back whispering in my ear.

  Nick: house arrest isn't bad. Stop crying,  you'll be able to see me.

I let go. Going with Joe, getting in the car.

  Niki: joey?  What is house arrest?

  Joe : it's when they put a bracelet on your ankle and you can't go outside your house. It's best not to tell your mom this either.

   Niki: I know.  She doesn't like Nick.
