Meant To Be (Bokuto x Reader)

~ Y/N Pov ~

7:30 a.m

I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm. I shut it off and went back to sleep, when all of a sudden my brother Akaashi burst through the door.

"Get up stupid!" Akaashi yelled and the returned back to his room.

I mumbled, "Give me 15 mor..." 

Suddenly another voice enters your room.

"GOOD MORNING Y/N - CHAN" Bokuto said with lots of energy.

I immediately knew it was Bokuto. I hid in my cover when I felt the blush crept to my face. I slowly pulled down the covers. Noticing, Akaashi had already left my room. Bokuto was staring a me while a cute smile was plastered on his face. As soon as he realized I was awake he walked over to my bed and sat in front of me.

"Hi Bokuto," I said as I giggled. His scent smelled so good. "Hey as much as I know you would love to see me....I need to get dressed...soo I think it's best if you leave"

"Oh right so-r-r-y" He quickly got up and left my room.

Oh how cute he can be. I thought to my self. I get out of my bed and quickly put on my school uniform. I was about to leave my room, when suddenly I noticed my skirt was shorter than usual. It didn't bother me knowing that no one actually paid attention to me. (Or so you thought) I made my way downstairs and was met will a warm smile from Bokuto. He then noticed my cheecks turning pink.

"Y/N? Are you ok?" Bokuto asked concerningly. Then a blush crept to his face when he noticed my skirt was shorter today.

"Yeah-h I'm fine" I quickly laughed trying to get out of the awkward situtation.

A couple seconds later Akaashi came downstairs, "What are you two laughing at" He said with a smirk. "Ohh um nothing" I said with my head down.

Time Skip

It was my class of they day, (subject). This was my favorite class, not only because it was easy, but because Bokuto was in it. Even though he is a 3rd year and I'm a 2nd year, Bokuto isn't the brightest and has to be put in lower level classes. 

"Ok class! Today we have a fun partner project to do! You will have to give a presentation of Words of Love." I payed no attention to what she was saying. Love never really came to mind, unless it was Bokuto. I mean I don't really love him, but I really like him like a lot. The teacher continued, "I have already assigned your partners based on who you were sitting next to." I turned my head to see Bokuto will a big smile, "Guess we are partners then." He wishpered. I immediately felt a blush on my face.

As soon as class was done I was leaving the room when Bokuto suddenly stopped me. "Hey Hey Hey! Y/N wait up!" 

He was running up to me with an adorable smile. 

"Yess Bokuto," I said as we made our way to the gym.

"So how about tomorrow after my volleyball practice, you can come to my house" He asked while scratching the back of his neck.

"Sure!" I said excitingly

As we made our way to the gym, I sat on the bench per usual to wait for Akaashi and Bokuto to finish. I was doodling some things in my notebook when I overheard a conversation. "No, I am an owl!!" Bokuto said. "No you are not!!" Akaashi said. I always knew Bokuto's favorite animal was an owl, and it was super cute. Practice finished early today and I made my way out to the front, so Akaashi and Bokuto could meet me. When they came to the front I greeted them with a nice smile. There was an awkward silence as we started walking home, but Bokuto broke the silence, of course.

"Akaashi! Just so you know I get to hang with your sister for a whole week!" He stuck his tounge out.

"What the hell do you mean?!" Akaashi said overprotectively.

Before there could be any problems I quickly say something, "We were paired for a project in class..."

"Oh ok that makes more sense" said Akaashi glaring at Bokuto.

As you guys kept talking, I realized we were home. Akaashi went inside quickly to start making dinner because our mother was going to be home late. 

"Um...so do you need my number?" I asked Bokuto shyly. I start to blush when I blurt out, "FOR THE PROJECT OF COURSE..." And anything afterward I mumbled hoping he didn't hear, which he didn't.

He looked a me with a smile and said, "Don't worry I already have it" And then he walked to his house. I stood there with confusion and turned to go inside.

I ran into my room, shut my door, and screamed into my pillow. So many things were running through my head...where did he get my number from? how long has he had it? was he just lying and didn't actually want it?  My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Akaashi call that dinner was ready. 

Our mom is a doctor and has to work nightly shifts, so me and Akaashi switch off every night for who cooks. Today was his day and he made sushi! He knows how much I love shushi, and only makes it when he needs something from me. I thank him for the food and we start to eat.

"Y/N?" 

"Yess"

"So I've been thinking...Do you have feelings towards Bokuto?" Akaashi asked with food in his mouth.

I nearly chocked on my food. "Whaa...no tch." I said with a embarrassed look on my face.

"Are you sure? You seem really close to him?"

"Alright fine! I've liked him for almost a whole year now"

Akaashi stared at me with disbelief.

"Please I'm begging you don't tell him"

"Your secrets safe with me, but I think you should make a move. You guys seem like you're Meant to be."

I looked at Akaashi with a confushed look on my face. 

"Anyways I'm going to play video games with Bokuto at his house...care to join?" He smirked, "I'm sure Bokuto wouldn't mind"

I immediatly start to blush and shook my head no, as I had "homework" to finish. He nodded as he walked out the door. I walked upstairs in my room and noticed Bokuto's jacket. He must have left it here when he came to wake you up. 

11:30 p.m.

It was starting to late as I lay in my bed, staring at my ceiling because I couldn't sleep. Akaashi decided to stay the night at Bokuto's house. I remembered his jacket. I picked up off the floor and put it on. It smelled just like him you thought. I got back in my bed and when to sleep immediatly as the scent of Bokuto was calming.
