Meant To Be (Bokuto x Reader)

~ Y/N Pov ~

I woke up to the loud sound of Akaashi and Bokuto screaming at each other. I didn't bother getting up, for I knew that they were playing video games. I slept for about 10 more minutes before I got up to head to Akaashi's room. I walked into his room forgetting I still had Bokuto's jacket on. 

"Goodmorning Y/N" Akaashi said with his eyes glued to the game.

"Morning Kaashi" I said.

I walked over to lay in his bed an watch them play. It was an intense game between Bokuto and Akaashi. The score of how many games they won was 6 - 6. A few moments later Bokuto finally won the game and started dancing around the room. Akaashi shook his head and laughed at weird his best friend was. I laughed as well because he was adorable. When he stopped dancing he finally noticed me and saw I was in his jacket. I saw a blush grow on his face when I remembered I still had on his jacket. I immediately turn red from this embarrassing moment.

"G-Goodmorning Y/N" He said shyly and quickly looked back at the screen.

~ Bokuto's Pov ~

Damn she looks really cute with my jacket. If only I could tell her how much she meant to me.

~ Y/N Pov ~

Akaashi looked over a Bokuto because he was shocked by how quietly he said that. He then looked at me and noticed I was wearing Bokuto's jacket. 

"Y/N may I asked why are you wearing Bokuto's jacket?" He said with a smirk on his face.

I turned bright red as I was trying to explain, but was a stuttering mess, "w-w-well y-you s-s-e, um I was um cold last night and I um picked up a random jacket on the floor and um I went to sleep with it on and um forgot." I took a breath as I was realized I got that out.

"Interesting...." Akaashi said looking at you with a smirk

"Oh here." I start to take it off when Bokuto said, "No you can keep it. I'll get it back when I see you Monday." He smiled. 

 Akaashi looked at Bokuto knowing that he must have feelings towards you. Akaashi ignored his thought and they keep playing. I put the jacket back on and laid back in Akaashi's bed scrolling through Instagram. I guess you could say I was pretty popular due to the fact Akaashi and Bokuto were popular at the school, and I was always hanging around them. People often got jealous but it never bothered me. Apparently some boys also got jealous when I was with Bokuto due to the fact the whole school thinks I'm gorgeous.

Time Skip

Lots of hours past and Bokuto had already left. I was sitting at my desk doing some online shopping when there was a knock at my door. 

"Come in" I said

It was Akaashi. 

"Y/N I need to talk to you about something." He said

I was scared it was going to be about Bokuto and the jacket incident this morning but it wasn't.

"So you're really close to Bokuto right"

"Yeah I guess you could say that" As I pointed to the jacket I was still wearing.

"Anyways....during volleyball practice Bokuto has these moments called "emo" mode....it's basically where he starts doubting himself, and tells me not to set him. No one can seem to snap him out of it and we have our practice matches coming up an-..."

"Just get to the point Akaashi!!" I said as I was still shopping.

"Can you start to come to our practices more often, and if you ever see him in the mood could you try to I don't know, maybe boost him??" He looked at me with pleading eyes.

I'd recently just went to one of their practices but didn't see Bokuto fall into the mode.

"Sure Akaashi...but why me??"

"Well.....you two seem really close...." Akaashi said as he winked and left my room.

He left me to have a major blush on my face.
