ALEX'S POV..

I wake up to my alarm clock buzzing in my ear, after shutting it off I realized I didn't set my alarm clock. I rolled over finding Grayson sitting on my computer desk, nearly having a heart attack I gasp and ask why he didn't knock.

"Knocking is boring, and I wanted to have fun with your alarm clock", he said with a big grin on his face.

GRAYSON'S POV..

Alex's dad gave me a key to the house so I can come over whenever I want, everyday I come over to Alex's house, it's a thing I have done ever since we were 10. Before she wok up I decided to set an alarm clock, I came over earlier than usual because I had big news and couldn't wait to tell her.

ALEX'S POV..

Why are you here so early? I said while yawning. Grayson jumped off the desk and shouted I have big news! And couldn't wait to tell you. Well what is it? You know how I'm looking for a job. Yes? I said worried he would get a horrible job. Well I have an interview to work at a mechanic shop in town, it's at noon, but I was wondering if you wanted to come with and maybe go to the mall? Grayson knows I don't really like to shop, especially for cute little outfits I prefer jeans, a t-shirt, and maybe a sweatshirt depending on the weather. It's always hot in Florida so I'll wear shorts once in a while. After thinking i practically yell why not, because I wanted to be there for Grayson and I actually wanted to go to the mall maybe stop and hangout with Ethan, since he works next to the mall in a four wheeling and dirt bike, mostly any auto mobile store. They only sell parts though, and that's where I get my parts for my dirt bikes.

I grabbed some clothes out of my closet, grabbed my t-shirt that said "save a horse ride a cowboy" and put on my shorts with my cowgirl boots. I went into the bathroom to change, I straightened my hair, and put on some eye liner and mascara. As I walk out Grayson yells why do u put on make-up? I yell back "so it covers up my ugliness!!" Grayson always yells he thinks it expresses his feelings more, if that makes sense.

GRAYSON'S POV..

Alex walked into her bathroom to change I just laid on her bed playing on my phone. After 10 minutes she walks out with that makeup crap, she doesn't need it she is beautiful inside and out. I thought to myself, guys don't wear makeup? Why do girls? But I knew no matter what Alex was beautiful, even if she was crying, mad, or just being weird which is her usual self.

Are you ready? I asked. "I sure am", she said while grabbing her phone. We walked out hopped Into my truck. I turn on the radio to 102.9 and one of Alex's favorite songs came on, something in the water by Carrie Underwood. I could hear her quietly singing the lyrics until Her favorite part came on, and she started to sing full out. Alex has an amazing voice, but doesn't realize it. She looks at me while I look at her and smile, and out of no Alex's phone goes off scaring her, I laugh and Alex laughs back at me. She looks at her phone and smiles, I wanted to ask why but didn't want to be in her business so I just continued to drive.

ALEX'S POV..

While I was singing to something in the water, my phone went off scaring me. Grayson laughed at me and I laughed back. I looked at my phone and smiled it was Jake, a guy I met mud bogging, he was really sweet.

JACOB😊:
Hey T-rex! it's been forever, I wanted to know if you wanted to hangout sometime?

ALEX:
Hey fire fighter! I'd love too! Call me later and we can talk about it.

JACOB😊:
Alright sounds good!

Jacob is such a great guy, I don't like him but I use to. I didn't tell him because he had a girlfriend..she was a model. I would never be able to do that.

We arrived at the mall, and Grayson didn't wait for me so I ran up and jumped on his back. He laughed and started running, I looked down at him and smiled wana race?!? I say with a smirk on my face. You know it! he said setting me down. 3....2.....1.... We ran from the end of the parking lot to doors. Now Grayson was fast but we ran the same, when we were younger we use to run together now it's all about racing Grayson either wins or let's me when. This time we tied, and I actually caught up to him, well at least I think I did.. Hmm...

GRAYSON'S POV..

Alex may not know it but I let her catch up, she doesn't like it when I do it, but I let her catch up a little than we actually ended up making it through the doors the same time. We stopped to catch a breath and I leaned on Alex because im a lot taller than her she is 5'5 and I'm 6'1. I like being tall, I can always see over everyone else. An old woman starts walking towards us.

"what an adorable couple you are!" She says
We looked at each other with blank faces and than started to laugh.
