Chapter 5

Ariel's POV

Crap! Stop reminiscing on the past, you can do that later!

Where is blue eyes, damn it.

I step out of my shadow and start sprinting toward to where I think I last saw him.

I see a Eri being covered by blue eyes as a bullet was speeding towards them.

I'm going to take a guess and say that was the final product for the quirk suppressing bullets.

I reach my hand out and grab the bullets' shadow to stop it in it's tracks, and like a dear to a headlight, they snap their heads to look over at me.

"What? Am I late to the party?"

"Tch, looks like you hero's got a new addition." He snarks

"Yeah they did, what of it?" I snap back

He doesn't say anything else as he slams his hand on the ground, like Edward from Fullmetal Alchemist, and two spikes come speeding towards me.

Which I dodge like a boss.

When I land yell at blue eyes, "Hey! Take her and get the hell out of here, I'll try to hold him back!"

"But what about-"

"Did I stutter?"

"N-no ma'am" he yelps as he takes Eri and runs away.

"You, hold me back? Hilarious." He says as he stares me down.

"That it may be but," I start to say as I bring the bullet over to me. "I have complete control over this bullet right here and it would be devastating if my finger just..." I bring the bullet a millimeter, from his face as he falls from shock. "..slipped" I say, I taunting him.

"G-get up, Chrono!"

All of the sudden I feel this gut feeling to move the hell away from where I was standing.

So, I stayed there and took out my beloved bat from my bracelet. And swing at whatever was coming at me.

"What the hell?!" Said, who I assume, is Chrono. "That wasn't supposed to happen, a bat can't break cement!"

"Well I'll have you know-" I get cut off by Chisaki.

"Damn it, it's all or nothing!" He says as he slams his hand to the ground and spikes come of from everywhere.

I got hit. A spike, in my stomach.

While it's true my suit can resist a lot of things, I don't believe I made it cement-proof.

"That being said, I won't allow my plan to be ruined like this!" Chisaki yells

All of the sudden this purple-ish light came from where Chisaki was and pushed me back, revealing a monster in Chisaki's place. "Now, after I'm finished with you, I'll have you return Eri!"

"Sorry bud, but I guess fighting ugly pricks like you runs in our veins!" I yell as we charge at each other.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see the case that holds all the bullets. Since the case is on the floor there isn't much of a shadow I can control, so I use some of Chisaki's shadow to pick up the other bullet from before and put it back in the case.

Then I switch my back to where the bullet was and continued exchanging blows with Chisaki, but not without making it look like I'm being pushed back.

When I get right infront of the case I kick Chisaki in the stomach, pushing him back.

"Blech-!" Tch, looks like this spike is interfering my work more then expected, my kick was weaker and I just hacked up this red liquid I so distastefully call blood.

I pick up the case and put it in a compartment in my hood. Wait, sh*t!

I just barely dodge another arrow aimed at me.

"I'll be taking those bullets back now." Chrono says.

Damn it, my bat is a little beat up, but... "Is that so? I guess you won't mind holding this for me then." I throw my bat at his head, successfully knocking him out, but not without taking another spike from Chisaki, in my left arm.

"Your opponent is me," Chisaki says as he walks towards me.

Narrow my eyes at him.

"Not right now though, we'll fight again one day, but for now." He says as he suddenly stops and reaches out his hand.

The hand grows a mouth? Anyway the hand starts to speak, "Someone else is about to die because of you!"

Wait, is he-!

"Is that what you really want?!"

Sh*t-

"Eri!"

"I..."

Damn it, Eri.

"..don't..."

Don't do this please

"..want that!" Eri yells

"No, stay with the other dude, don't come near us!" I try, trying to talk her out what I know she is about to do.

"Eri," the hand speaks again "Do you really think this hero can do anything in this situation by himself?" I glare at him

"No, I don't." Come on, Eri!

"Then what should you do?" Stupid hand!

"Go back..."

Eri...

"In exchange, put everyone back the way they are!"

... I'm sorry... I can't-!

"Bwahahahaha!"

They both look at me like I'm crazy.

I mean, if someone was basically at death's door, and was laughing, I would too.

"I'm sorry, you think he can do that?! No, better yet- will he do it?! Come on, it's negotiating: 101, the money before the goods, him putting everyone back together before you come back to him!"

"What, the hell" Looks like Chisaki needs to get his ears cleaned.

"I said-"

"I know what you said. But what the-" he collapses on the floor.

"Right on time, Zawa!"

"Idiot. You really have the most insane ideas, you know that?"

"But, it wasn't an idea. I was speaking my mind!"

"*Sigh*"

"Anyways..." I grab my bat and swing at Chisaki's head, successfully knocking out yet another person.

"We should get him into jail." Zawa says

"Yep, let's go do that!" I say as I put my bat back in my bracelet, and start walking pass Zawa, but he puts his hand on my shoulder, stoping me from continuing.

I turn my head to look back at him,
"Yeah, Zawa?" I ask.

"You know, you can rest now..." It wasn't much, but like a switch, I collapse on top of him.

"Rest peacefully, Ariel" He whispers.

And for once, without a snarky comment for Zawa, I close my eyes and fall asleep.
