We were already set to go, so we just left. We went to the car and met up with YiJung and GaEul.
"Jan Di!!"
"Ga Eul!" Jan Di and GaEul run to each other and hug tightly.
"Jan Di ah! It's been so long!"
"Ahhhh I know! I missed you!"
"Me tooooooo!" They pull away and their faces are all red and teary.
I walk to YiJung.
"So how has it been between you and GaEul?"
"Good. Good. And you two..lovebirds?" He smirks and looks at me.
"Very...dramatic. Yah." I look at him.
"What?"
"We got engaged." I hold up my hand with the ring on it. He widens his eyes and laughs.
"Haha wow! Congrats!...What do you think WooBin would do about it?"
I sigh,
"He'd probably act like he was happy for us, I guess."
"Yeah..."
"So, are you going to propose to GaEul anytime soon?"
"I'm not sure..I'm thinking about it."
We continue the small talk until GaEul walks up to us and says,
"Yah, what kind of date is this!!" She smiles and YiJung chuckles.
"This isn't exactly what I had planned." He says, "Let's go."
We start walking down the sidewalk and I look at jan Di. I look away awkwardly and slowly start to hold her hand. I can tell she was surprised. I feel her staring at me without even seeing her. I look at her and see that she was, indeed, staring at me with a surprised 'wait what' look. I smile and she looks down. I look up at YiJung and GaEul. They're a way more touchy-feely couple..I'm actually kind of envious. I stare at them and then look at Jan Di. She looks at me,
"Jan Di."
"Yeah?"
"I love you~"
She raises her eyebrows in surprise and then looks down,
"Me too.." She mumbles.
"Whaaaat? I didn't hear youuuu"
She sighs,
"I said me too! I love you too!" She yells. We both freeze as GaEul and YiJung turn around and stare at us.
Jan Di opens her mouth to say something before YiJung says,
"Such a strange couple....." They both turn back around and continue walking.
I look at jan Di. She cringes and holds tighter to my hand. I hold in a laugh and just continue walking with her.
We arrive at a restaurant called. I look at Jan Di after YiJung and GaEul walk in,
"Let's go." She nods and we also walk in.
We go to the counter and then are directed to our seats. I pull out the chair for Jan Di. She smiles and sits down. I sit down across from her. YiJung and GaEul sit down as well.
"Isn't this place nice?" YiJung asks me. I nod and then look at jan Di to see that her mind is obviously somewhere else.
"Yah! Jan Di!" GaEul says and Jan Di flinche and looks at her,
"What??"
"Nothing!" They both laugh.
Everyone opens their menus and look at what they are going to order. Knowing Jan Di, she's probably worrying about prices. We all find our orders.

Later, after they leave the restaurant
******
"It's getting late...but I don't want it to endddd!" GaEul whines to YiJung.
"We can stay a bit longer, I guess." YiJung says.
"Yaaaaay!!!" GaEul says. I think she's a bit drunk, to be honest. Jan Di also seems to be a bit.. She's very tired and wobbly. She suddenly goes "YAH!!" We look up at her,
"What??" I say, seeing her surprised expression,
She smiles, "Hi" I sigh,
"I think it's time we should all be heading home..." I say to everyone. YiJung nods,
"Yeah...I agree." YiJung looks at GaEul,
"Maybe we should go..?" He says, talking quietly.
"Noooooooo" she says. He sighs,
"Yeah, yep, come on..." He picks her up and puts her on his back.
"We should be leaving now...bye! We had fun." He smiles. I wave and he turns around and leaves to his car. I look at Jan Di. I sigh when I see that she looks very peaceful. I smile and she looks up at me,
"JiHoo sunbae...I'm really tired..." She says.
"Okay, let's get home."

We walk down the sidewalk. She wobbled around and I grab her hand, she looks at me tiredly,
"Are you okay?..." I say quietly. She smiles and nods. I sigh, I'm worried about her. I look back forward and continue walking. She suddenly stops walking, and I look at her,
"What?" She looks at me,
"JiHoo sunbae!!" She says.
"What??"
"I'm tired... Carry me there..." She says and pouts. I smile and walk to her and kneel down,
"Get on." I say. I feel her getting on my back. She's surprisingly light..
I stand up and start to walk down the sidewalk again. She wraps her arms around my neck and her breathing becomes more slow and relaxed. I smile and close my eyes as I walk. Finally we arrive at our car.
"Jan Di.." I say quietly, "time to get off, you can sleep in the car.." She wakes up and gets off my back, and I help her into the car. Before I even shut the door she was already sleeping. I chuckle and shut the door, going to my side of the car and getting in. I start the car and back out of the parking spot.

Later

We get home and I quietly get out of the car and go to Jan Di's side, opening the door. I unbuckle her, and pick her up bridal style. I kick the door shut and go to the front door, unlocking it and opening it, and closing it, all with one hand. I set her down on the couch. I smile when I see that her whole body and mind seem to be relaxed. I sigh and sit next to her. I lean forward, my elbows on my knees, and my head on my hands. I drift off.

In the morning

I open my eyes and see that I'm on the couch, in the clothes I wore last night. I look around, and see JiHoo next to me, asleep. I rub my eyes. Ugh...I got drunk, huh.. I stand up and look around.
'Yes, I'm in my home...nothing seems to be different about my clothes...I think I'm fine!' I smile and go to the bedroom to change. I hear steps. I cover myself and look behind me. The steps get louder and closer...burglar!? I run to the bed, still half naked, and crawl under. I hear the door creak open. I roll into a ball, trying to control my breathing. I take 1 small breath per ever, let's say 5 seconds. I hear rummaging around, and the pair of feet walking around the room.
'This'd be jackpot for a burglar, a rich boy's house and a half-naked girl..' I say in my mind.
The pair of feet come closer and closer to my hiding spot.
'No...noooo! Don't come near, don't come near! What if he heard my breathing? Oh god no...!' The feet stop directly in front of me.
The burglar kneels down and-- EH!!?? JiHoo!?
"What are you doing under the bed......like that?" He points at me and my shirt gripped in my hand tightly. I widen my eyes and look down at myself. I gasp and go to stand up but hit my head on the bed.
"Aiiish...!" I say quietly. I crawl out and stand up. He stands up as well and looks at me cluelessly,
"So...what were you doing?"
"Hiding."
"From what...?"
"From what I thought was a burglar.." I say and look down, still covering myself with only a shirt that wasn't even on. He then notices that I only have a bra and a skirt on. He looks away awkwardly and ruffles his hair,
"You should go ahead and get dressed.." He says. I look down at myself and gasp. I nod and rush to the bathroom to get changed.
'Aish! Seriously! Why did that have to happen...' I get dressed and walk out of the bathroom. I see that JiHoo is no longer in the bedroom so I go to the living room. I see a note on the coffee table;
'Geum Jan Di~ I went for a run. I'll be back in about an hour.'
What? He just left without saying anything? What the heck is that about...I sigh and put the note back down. Maybe I'll call GaEul... Oh I forgot to mention. I haven't been working lately because our boss gave me time off, to relax. I guess it's time for me to go back, right? Yeah.
I call GaEul, or, I call the porridge shop's number,
"YES!? THIS IS THE PORRIDGE SHOP!? HOW MAY WE---Yes ma'am! Right away! HOW MAY WE HELP YOU!!" I hold the phone away my face. That hurt my ear tremendously.
"GaEul! It's jan Di!"
"AH- JAN DI! HOW ARE YOU!? I HEARD LAST NIGHT YOU GOT-- NEVERMIND. WHATS UP?"
"Can I come into work today?"
A moment of silence,
"Yes! Yes please! It's been so- coming right up ma'am! It's been so busy..when can you come?"
"Right now is fine. I'll come in a sec."
We hang up and I write a note and put it on top of Jihoo's note;
'Yoon JiHoo.......sunbae. I went to work again for the first time in a while. It'll be a few hours until I get back. See ya!" I get ready to go and head out, to the store. I finally arrive- WHOA! When did it get so busy!? I look around once I get inside,
"Jan Di! Come here!" I go to the back and see that YiJung and WooBin are here. I stare awkwardly at them. WooBin...haven't seen him in a while, since.....I don't know how to act around him. I greet them both with an awkward bow then look at GaEul with a 'what the heck is going on' expression. She just smiles,
"Jan Di, get to work!" The boss smiles at me, then says, "Welcome back." I smile. I quickly run into the shop,
"ONE BACON PORRIDGE"
"SEAFOOD PORRIDGE"
"CHICKEN PORRIDGE"
"GIMME A PORRIDGE"
"What kind of porridge, miss?"
"JUST GIMME A PORRIDGE"
Today is the busiest I've ever seen it. Before I know it, almost 1 1/2 hours has passed. My phone rings. I step outside and answer it.
"Yes?"
"Jan Di? Where are you??"
"You didn't see the note I left? It's on the coffee table.." Silence for a second, I can tell he's walking to the coffee table and checking,
"Ohhhh. Okay...should I go help you?"
"Uhmmmm if you want to-- okay, okay!! Sorry I gotta g---" I sigh and stare at my phone. These people, forcing me to hang up on my fiancé. I grumpily walk back in. I continue serving people and taking orders. One...one man was disappointed with our porridge.
A slam on the table made the whole store go silent.
"WHAT IS THIS!?" He yells.
"I'm sorry sir, we'll remake it for you-"
"NO! THAT GIRL THERE, COME HERE!" He points at me. The whole store watches me. I hesitantly walk up, shaking out of fear.
"Are you responsible for this??!!" He yells,
I stare at the ground,
"Y-yes.."
"HOW DARE YOU! You say yes like that to an adult! Shame!!!!"
"I-I'm sorry.." Just then. Heat. But also coldness. On the top of my head, to my shoulders. Porridge all over me. The man holds the bowl upside down over my head. I stare into space, not noticing the whole store was watching. I feel tears falling.
I look at him and bow over and over,
"I'm sorry--I'm sorry-- I'm---I'm sorry!"
"Worthless little ****s-word that I'd rather not say****" I continue bowing and apologizing. I'm pushed aside and to the ground by this man.
Then when I hear the door open, I hear the man bumping into someone,
"HEY! Ungrateful brat! Watch where you're going! You'll be like that little ****another profanity I don't wanna say**** over there!" I sit on the ground still, holding in the tears. I have porridge all over me, and everyone is staring at me.
"That ****profanities, profanities****, as in, my fiancé?" I look up and see JiHoo looking furiously calm at the man.
"That's your fiancé!? Damn! Leave the lady! She ain't good for nothin!" BAM WHO ORDERED A KNUCKLE SANDWICH. I stare at JiHoo,
"Don't ever say that about her again." JiHoo walks up to me and pulls me up, I look around before I'm pulled out of the store.
"JiHoo sunbae--sniff--I'm really okay--sniff--where are you taking me!?" I say. He doesn't reply. He's probably mad at me... Great, now he is too. We arrive at home. He opens the door and closes it and takes me to the bathroom.
"Take your clothes off." He says.
"Eh!?"
"Do you not realize you're covered in porridge??" I look down at myself, and I am indeed covered in porridge.
I sigh,
"Yeah, but I can do it myself.." He sighs,
"Yeah. I guess." He walks out. I sigh, I'll probably have to throw these clothes away.
