RECAP: "Ms. Brooks, detention after school! " Mr. Harrison explodes. Ugh. I better tell Adan I'm walking home.

*at lunch*
Surprisingly, and thankfully, Maddy and I had a class together right before lunch so I wouldn't have to wander aimlessly throughout the school until I found them.
"Do you need to grab food from the cafeteria? Because we can go there before heading to where we sit," Maddy says slowing down turning to me looking eager for a response.
"Um, let me check," I say scourging through my bag. Finding my sun chips, I turn showing the blue bag to her. "Nope. My chips are right here."
"Great. Because our school cafeteria is anything but good tasting," she laughs. "Follow me," she whispers leading us past the outdoor eating area toward large, breathtakingly beautiful cherry blossom tree that Cole was sitting under reading a book. Walking closer, I notice the title. Blood of Olympus. What a great book. Honestly, one of my all time favorites. Noticing us, Cole puts down his book and gets up to give me a hug.
"Hey beautiful," he whispers in my ear.
"Cole don't do that to her!" Maddy laughs while playfully slapping his arm.
"O M G I cannot believe her! First making me look like an idiot and now hitting on my boyfriend?! How dare she!" Nicole squeals from a few feet behind me. Wait what? I didn't even know they were dating? Wait they're dating? Cole is dead.
"Nicole, I broke up with you two weeks ago. Two weeks. You need to get a life." Cole says pulling me in closer to him. "Plus, I only dated you because of a dare."
"It's not like you weren't lip-locking with quarterback loser this morning anyway. Would you like us to demonstrate?" I mention kissing Cole earning gasps from the people standing by. Pulling away from him, I walk up to her. "Now shoo-shoo and go torture some other girl who actually cares about your opinion because I sure don't." I say to her sitting down at the base of the cherry blossom tree. "Now that she is dealt with, someone explain."
