Lance loves looking at the stars it calmed from his heavy anxiety. But now those stars are a reminder that he may never come home.
They were on a mission it was supposed to be a simple mission in and out. But apparently the Galra had other plans it was an ambush. They had brought them all done but one hid in secret.
At the last second he fired at Keith because he was the closest lance saw that and pushed him out of the way and got hit instead.
As he was bleeding out he said "Bring me to the planetarium " Keith questioned why and Lance answered "So I can look at them one last time and know I-I'm h-cough*home.
And that's where Lance took his last breath looking at the stars for the last.
