Chapter 3

After Damian came out from his shower and change clothes he immediately received a text from Jon.

'Hey, thanks for taking my sister home. And she wants me to tell you to meet her at the library tomorrow. Bye!'

Damian unconsciously smiles from the text.

'No problem. Sure I'll meet her there.'

He replied and turned off his phone. He just stares at the ceiling while having an uncontrollable smile on his face. He could feel his heart bouncing from happiness, the weird part is he didn't know why. He just shrugged it off and just goes to sleep.

"How's school?" Lois asked Jon and Rachel while they're eating dinner. "It was fine. Nothing special." Jon simply answers while he eats. Lois just let out a gentle smile while she watched her son eating. She faced Rachel. "What about you Raven? How's school?" She asks her. "It was nice... I guess?" She answered and continued to eat. Lois sighed and hold her hand. "Raven, we're family now. If ever you need anything. Whenever you have a problem. We'll be right here for you. You can always talk to us about things... Okay?" She said. Raven let out a gentle smile and mouthed the word 'okay' while she nodded. When Jon finished drinking his water he immediately wiped his mouth with a napkin and said. "Mom, did you know that Raven has a boyfriend?" He said that made Raven and Lois stopped eating. Raven widened her eyes at Jon, telling him to shut up. When Lois noticed this she wiped her mouth and smirked. "Is this true Rachel?" She asked. Raven shook her head as a sign of saying the word 'no'. "Don't believe Jon mom. He's just making issues." She said as she gave him a death glare, but her brother just laughed at her. "Then why are you meeting him tomorrow at the library?" He teased her that made Raven confused. "Who?" "Damian." When Jon mentioned his name she was automatically paused. It's like hearing his name was an off button. When Jon noticed that she didn't answer he pointed a finger at her and laughed. "I knew it! You have a crush on Damian!" This made Raven came back to her senses. "It was for a project! Argh! Mom!" She said as she cried for help from Lois. "That's enough Jon. Stop teasing your sister." Lois said at Jon. Jon raised both of his arms as a sign of surrender. Minutes later after that Lois and Jon just suddenly laugh, and they can't control it. Raven raised an eyebrow to both of them. But she just smiled and laugh with them. She really feels welcome in this house. She feels so accepted. It's like she really is a part of their family.

When Raven reached her room she immediately changes clothes for bed. Once she gets to her bed her phone suddenly rings. It was them. They texted her, asking for another favor.

'Rachel! Can you be a dear and do our homework for us? We're at a party and we'll be home late. We'll just meet you tomorrow at the canteen okay?'

Raven rolled her eyes while she reads the text. She was about to throw her phone somewhere far when it rings again.

'Do it. Or else...'

Raven's hands started to shake and tears are about to come out of her blue-violet eyes. She hugged both of her legs as she cries. She can't do it. What if they tell the others? What would they think of her? She remembers all that Damian told her earlier. She closed her eyes and mouthed the word 'sorry'. She looked at her arms and stare at the scars on it. While looking at it people close to her suddenly pops out of her mind. Jon, Lois, Clark, even Damian. She stands up and walks towards her drawer and opens it. Inside the drawer is a box. A box where the gem she used to defeat Trigon is hidden. They got the box from John Constantine. She opened it and saw the red gem glowing. She takes the gem and put it on her forehead and closed her eyes.

"Raven. Free me!" She opened her eyes when she hears the voice of her father. She turned around to face him. Both his arms and legs are tangled with chains, but they're not ordinary chains. She flies towards him and narrowed her eyes at him. "No." Hearing this made Trigon laugh. "Do you really think that you can chain me in here forever? I will get out. And once I did, I will get rid of all the people close to you!" Hearing these words from him is nothing new to her, but still makes her worry. Trigon smirked. "You're weak. Sooner or later, you will free me." Raven covers her ears as his voice is getting louder and louder. "Stop." She cried but it didn't stop. Trigon's voice kept on getting louder until Raven unconsciously fell to the ground. "No!" She shouted as soon as she opened her eyes. She looked around her surrounding, she's in her room. She put both of her hands on her face as she breathes heavily. "Raven?" Lois said as she opened the door with a worried face. "What happened?" Clark said while following Lois. Raven shook her head. "It was n-nothing." She said and stands up even before they get close to her. Lois walked towards her and gently hold her face. And she noticed something on her forehead. "You wear it... Again." She said as she hugged Raven to comfort her. "It's okay Raven, we got you," Clark said as he placed his hand on Raven's shoulder. Raven was about to resist their comforts but hearing what they said made her soft and cry.
