Prologue

It all started with my year graduating from primary school to secondary. It was our leavers prom. Little year 11 year olds. Dressed to the swagging point. My class was terrible. Boys hit change real quick, females started developing their lumps and curves. Last summer was the worst for Leilani Melendez but accomplishing for Aden Brooks. That one night of summer ruined their friendship. Forever.

"You look amaaaaaaaazing Lani" Paris cooed.

"So do you" Leilani squealed.

She looked carefully at her friends attire, she had on black leggings with a while off the shoulder crop top with white open toed flats with her hair curled in a pony tail. While she rocked out a black on black maxi dress with gold jewellery and her hair straight and curled at the ends. They both looked the part.

"Care to dance ?" Paris asked in a goofy voice.

Lani nodded a d took Paris's hand and made their way to the dance floor. Both girls enjoying the night as more graduates flooded the hall. Soon as the place became jack packed, Aden took it upon himself that it was the right time to make a announcement.

"Sup y'all listen up" he said climbing on the stage alongside his best friend Colby.

Everyone stopped dancing and enjoying their night and turned their full attention onto Aden and Colby. Colby had clicked a button and decided to hand the mic to Aden and gave the crowd a evil smirk.

"What's going on ?"

'Play the music"

"Hurry up"

Everyone I. The crowd started to mumble and moan until Aden pressed 'play' the crowds attention locked tight on the screen and the crowd begun to laugh and gasp.

"No" Lani gasped.

"Lani is that you ?" Paris asked amused yet shocked.

Lani felt the tears slide down her cheeks and onto the ground, she too all the last energy she had and started to run. It would be embarrassing to have your self giving a boy head in front of your whole school year. She believed in her and Aden's friendship, they where once joined to the hip and dead I say...in love. That was all till Aden started chilling with more rowdy boys and distancing himself away from Leilani and joining it getting 'head' of females in his year.

"What a shame" Paris grumbled and ran after her best friend.

Aden had a smile of satisfaction. This was revenge in Leilani picking Paris over him. {later revelled}. He swore he will get revenge on their friendship becoming a end. And so he did. Watching Leilani run off in tears brought a happy smirk on his face till she ran leaving the hall he realised he might have taken it a step to far. He shrugged and dapped Colby and other boys fried their 'batch' revenge well played.

"I hate him" Lani sobbed in Paris's arms.

"you don't mean that y'all was once tight"

"What you mean I don't mean it ? He just humiliated me in front of our year, the same year we going to be with till college" she said sitting up and wiping her tears. "I guess he got his revenge"

"Revenge ? Revenge on what ?"

Leilani sat there explaining to her best friend what had happened between her and Aden and twisted up her face. Feeling both ashamed and hurt that she had to go through a choice. Only happy to hear she was picked over him.

Their all now in their last year of secondary school. Aden continued his feud with Leilani for 4 years making this last year the 5th. His grudge wouldn't budge and he could never forgive someone who chose someone over the friendship they used to have. He has his boys , Colby' Josh and Kareem by his side causing hell in Lani's life. This is the last year and all Leilani could ask her self was.

"Is this year going to be different ?"
