“Come on, Sam! Where are you?” The man with the hair that faded from a bright blue to a pale green asked. “I need you to exude more sex, man!” Sam’s black and purple flannel was draped over a nearby chair, his black slim fit jeans folded neatly on the chair, and he was barely wearing his briefs as several people shot photos of him in an all-white background. Sam wasn’t sure how much more sex he could exude before he “popped a rogue chubby,” considering all the barely dressed, beautiful women standing around would sometimes join him in a few shots.
“Hey, Bill, listen. I—“ Sam began.
“Billy! Billy! Billy! I only go by Billy!” The man with the vibrantly colored hair said, his reddening in an unnecessary anger. “Billy.”
“Right, Billy. My head is pounding like a sex depraved dolphin on its instructor.” Sam said as one of the models laughed. Sam smiled back at the model as he continued “So do you think we could maybe finish this tomorrow?”
“It doesn’t hurt that bad. You’re just being a baby about it.” Billy said as he went through the photos on his camera.
“Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.” Sam said doing an impression of The Man in Black from “The Princess Bride.” All the models laughed at his impressions, not necessarily because they liked the film or have even seen, but because they all thought Sam was hot. “But no really, my head really hurts, I can’t concentrate. And ultimately I can’t ‘exude sex’” Sam continued making use of air quotes.
“Ok, Sam. I totally understand, one time I broke my toe and had to cancel all my shoots for two months.” Billy said rather matter-of-factly. Sam bent down and began to put back on his clothes.
“I-I don’t really see why that was necessary or… even… relevant?” Sam said confused. He would never do something so ridiculous. “Nevermind.” He stood back upright as he pulled back on his pants and slid on his flannel. “Thanks so much, Bill.”
“No problem, I’ll see everyone back here tomorrow. Six P.M. sharp!” Bill(y) said gesturing to all the models in the room. Sam grabbed his peacoat and was out the door in no time. “Wait… Did he call me Bill?!” Billy paused. “It’s Billy!” He screamed, but Sam was already outside chuckling to himself. Billy was his least favorite photographer to work with yet, he was arrogant and obnoxious.
But Sam really didn’t have a headache. His head felt perfectly fine, not shaken, not stirred. It was his thoughts that were distracting him. He was still caught up on what Oli had said. He was still into Quinn, there definitely was no denying that. He wanted her back with all his heart, but what’s a boy to do?
He really did forgive her. She hurt him badly and while he doesn’t understand that hurtful action she made, he does understand her. He didn’t realize it at the time but she was a broken girl. Broken apart and Finn took advantage of that. However, when Finn eventually apologized to Sam, he told him that Quinn had actually chose Sam and that she was in love with him. But it was too late; the damage had already been done. She made a mistake, but it was clear she regretted it. People do change, maybe not quickly, but eventually. So Sam forgave her: he loved her and never wanted to let her go.
Sam continued down the street, knowing where he could go to get some for-sure guidance. He pictured Quinn, laying back on the lounge chair in her den, one of his hands beneath her and one on her thigh, his fingers barely touching the inside of her skirt. She’d never let his hand slide any further, but he didn’t mind. He loved her just the same.
He was approaching his destination, but his mind continued to wonder to Quinn. “A gentleman always pays on the first date.” She told him after a myriad of his impressions and jokes. He knew something was special about Quinn beforehand, but that night solidified the feeling. He loved her for all of her; her mostly sweet sometimes catty attitude, her golden hair, her precious smile, and her beautiful eyes. Every bit he wanted to devour and keep inside of him forever.
