Rachel's P.O.V

I woke up at 7:00 a.m. this morning. I've been up for about an hour. I am sitting on the balcony of my apartment. It has a nice view of L.A. I come out here and sit all the time. I am listening to R5, of course, and just chillin. I checked my phone for messages, but I had none. Oh yeah...forget to mention...TODAY IS MY B-DAY!!! I was disappointed none of the Lynch's have text me...especially Ross. It's the 15th of May. Ross and I haven't seen each other since that day we hung out at his house all day. That was a month ago! We text each other a lot, but I still miss him! He has just been really busy with Austin and Ally and R5. My phone buzzed.

Phone Convo. Texting.
8:38 a.m.

Ross: Hey! ;)
Me: Hey, Ross! :)
Ross: What's up?
Me: Nothin...
I can't believe he forgot my birthday!
Ross: Mind if I come over?
Me: Yeah...I guess... :-/
Ross: Oh...uhhhh...sorry, I mean...if you don't want me to come over, I don't have too!! I mean it's your house!!!
Me: lol Hey!! I'm kidding! I would love it if you came over!
Ross: Oh!! Ok!! Good...I thought you were serious...man...you got me scared!
Me: Glad to see I can still get the famous Ross Lynch worked up. ;)
Ross: Ok. Ok. Can I come over in...20?
Me: Yeah. Sure!! :)
Ross: Ok. See yeah!! ;)
Me: I'll be here! ;)

Ross's P.O.V

I think I have succeeded in making Rachel think I forgot her birthday. I plan on doing something really special for her! I might even make a move on liking her, but I don't know. I really like her, but I don't want to mess up our friendship. I am so excited about tonight! It's gonna be awesome! Other than...I actually have no clue where this night is going, or where it's gonna start...tonight's just a "winging it" kind of thing.

I got dressed in some of my nice, casual closes. I checked my hair in the mirror and, of course, it looked fine. I grabbed my keys and started heading for the door until Rydel stopped me.

"Where are you going? You're to dressed up to be just goin out or something." She asked quite suspiciously.

"I...umm...I'm taking Rachel out. It's her birthday." I spoke nervously. I know what was coming next.

"I would ask to come but...I remember what you said earlier. I will leave you two to your...time alone." She chose her words carefully.

"Ok? Well...I'm gonna go now..." I finally made it out the door and on my way to Rach's.

I finally got to Rachel's. I walked up the stairs and knocked on her door. She opened the door greeting me.

"Oh. Hey, Ross." She moved to the side to let me in.

"Hey, Rach. What's up?"

"Nothin much..." I automatically saw the disappointment in her face. This was going to be a fun night.

Rachel's P.O.V

Oh my gosh! I can't believe he forgot my birthday! He is my best friend and he forgot. I have never forgotten his birthday! His is December 29th, mine is May 15th. How hard is that to remember?

"Hello? Earth to Rachel? You still in there?" Ross was snapping his fingers in front of my face.

"Uh? Yeah. So...what are we doin today?"

"Well...it's a surprise..."

Did he just hesitate?

"Ugh...Ross! Why?" I wined.

"Uhhh...because...I get to "work up the not famous Rachel Michel" this time!!" He said with a smirk.

I playfully slapped his arm. One, for not telling me. Two, he called me not famous...even though I actually am not famous. It's just fun to have an excuse to touch his muscles. Wait!! What?!?

Ross's P.O.V

I'm good. I just came up with something perfect. I seriously just came up with what I'm gonna do. I'm just glad I said that it was a surprise because I don't know how to explain it. We will just have to see how it goes...

I am soooooo sorry for not updating and for the short chapter!!!! I have just been really busy. When I do have time to write I am having this major writer's block!!! It's awful!!
You have to read the next chapter...there might be some romance but...can't tell!!! ;)
