01. The Week Before

Aaliyah's POV

"Hey Liyah, I've been looking all over for you I even called your phone". I hear Sophia's voice from behind me as I close my locker door.

"Oh, hey girl my bad I was late today. I forgot to set my alarm this morning." I say turning around to her.

"Girl you gotta start being more responsible." She rolls her eyes at me.

I smack my teeth. "Man I know, but these niggas be blowing my shit up 24/7 and they had me distracted last night gurrrrl." I give her a sneaky smile.

"Mhm. Let me find out you out here being a freak with these boys or even catching feelings". Sophia says making me laugh. Annoying as always.

"Girl, you stay in my business. Like mind your's honey." I say laughing.

"Ok but I'm just looking out for your stupid ass cause you know what happened with you and Alex." She gives me a funny look.

I roll my eyes. "Now why you had to mention that you know I don't like talking about that." Now WHY would this hoe bring up Alex when she know he did me dirty.

"Oh yeah, I meant to tell you that I'm gonna have a party on Friday." Soph tells me and I mentally thank her for changing the subject.

"Bet." I say reminiscing her last party. "You already know I'm there. That shit about to be hella lit."

"Alright I'm gonna catch you later best friend, I love you." I say to Sophia after hearing the bell ring for 3rd period.

"I love you too, girly." She says before walking off.

I was late for my first two classes so, I'm going to make sure I go to the rest. I don't want my mom to be on my dick later.

"Hey babygirl, what happened this morning? Your school called and said you missed your first two classes." She asks before giving me a sassy look. "I thought we had an agreement, no more tardy's?"

"I know mom, I'm sorry. I forgot to set my alarm last night, I promise it won't happen again plus it's just Tuesday." I knew she was gonna be on my dick.

She then puts her hands on her hips. "Come on Aaliyah, your 17 years old now. You need to be more responsible."

"Okay mom, I know this already." I say grinding my teeth. She is hella annoying, like bitch shut the fuck up already.

"Can I go now? You know I have work that I have to do." I ask her while I roll my eyes.

"Yes Aaliyah, get out my face before I slap the shit out of you." She tells me with threat in her voice.

I then go to my room and close the door behind me. I make my way to my bed before taking my phone out my pocket. I proceed to click on my 'FaceTime' app and scroll down my contacts till I find my best friend. I then continue to click video call.

She answers on the first ring and I immediately go off. "Bitch my mom on my dick heavy right now cause I was late for school."

She gives me a 'duh' look before responding. "Liyah yours moms is right though, you be late like everyday my girl." Here she go too.

"Okay Soph, I'll talk to you later. I got a lot of shit to do." I say to her with an attitude.

"Okay, Imma call Devin then. I love you." She tells me all happy. Awww she in love.
