Chapter One

"Mom do we have to move?" I complain as my mother hands me a box for my stuff. "Yes we do. Now stop asking." I say fine under my breath as I walk up the stairs to start packing up my room. I'm 21 and still living with my parents? What am I doing? At least I'll be closer to family. And maybe, if I'm lucky, I might find someone. But hey who knows.

~TIME SKIP 2 WEEKS~

"Wow Mom this house is actually pretty nice." I say looking around and quickly going in and out of the rooms on the main floor. "Yeah you can thank your father for this." she said almost sarcastically. I brush it off knowing that he didn't help at all. "I'm gonna find my room." Walking to my room, I notice through the hallway window that I have a cute boy living next to me.

While unpacking I glance out my window and see that I have a perfect view of the cute neighbor boys' room. I start getting distracted and unconsciously watch him doing what ever he's doing. He glances over through his window looking at you and he cracks a small smile. I snap out of it realizing what just happened and smile back giving a little wave. I go back to unpacking and hanging up my clothes but I can't help but notice him staring at me. I blush a little and then turn back to what I was doing.

When I finish unpacking I tell my mother that I am going out. I decide to walk to the nearest park I can find since it's a beautiful evening. When I get to the park I notice someone familiar but decide to ignore them. Chilling at the park was a great idea. It gave me time to clear my head about the move. As I'm sitting on a bench a nice looking girl approaches me with confidence. "Hi I'm (bsf/n). I notice that you're sitting alone. Mind if I join?" She says as she's taking a seat next to me definitely not taking no for an answer. "Oh. Sure. I'm (y/n)." We start making conversation and she seems super nice but I have to head home since it's starting to get late. "I have to get going." I start to get up but before I fully stand up a feel a hand on mine. "Can I at least get your number before you leave?" We exchange numbers and then I'm on my way.

Once I get home I notice my mom hunched over on the couch, head in palms. "Mom. Are you okay?" She looks up and she looks fine. "Yes hunny. Oh and the neighbor boy came over. He delivered you a letter, which I certainly didn't open and then set on your bed." She says with a smirk. I'm a little bit pissed but wonders if she actually did it or if she's just trying to mess with me. "I'm joking, of course. It's on the counter." She says smiling and tilting her head towards the kitchen. As I'm walking to the kitchen I see a white envelope on the counter that has the name "neighbor girl" on it. I instantly blush but feel really nervous as I'm starting to pick it up. "Why am I so nervous?" I mumble. "What's that hunny?" You yell "Oh nothing mom." I decide to take the letter up to my room. As I'm getting ready for bed I keep thinking about the note and what was inside.

I roll into bed and decide to open the letter. It reads:

Hello neighbor girl. I saw you earlier unpacking and was wondering if you and your family needed any help unpacking.

                                Sincerely, Wilbur

P.S. I think you're cute
