CHAPTER 1
My name is Daavud, I'm 16 and in high school and this is the story of how one phone call chafed my life.....
My bestfriends name is Mavis he can't keep up with his stuff and is a major procrastinater which is why I blew off the call at 3:09 am. I just thought that he lost our homework assignment and was asking what page to do, being late I figured he'd be tired and would just put it off to until the morning anyways. So I ignored it...
About five minutes later my mom came in my room and gave me the biggest news I my life. She said that Mavis went to get something from the gas station, and on the way home his car was hit by a semi.. He was gone immediately..
Two seconds. Two seconds and my bestfriend the person I grew up with, made memories, and got in trouble with, was gone. Just gone. I simply couldn't imagine life without him. And now he's just "gone". I feel like I'm gonna wake up from this nightmare. It doesn't feel real. I fell asleep on a wet pillow. I woke up. The day past. I fell asleep.
What do I do now. He was my bestfriend. Maybe my only real friend. the next couple days were just blurs. Tomorrow I go to the funeral. I can't go because that would be accepting that he's gone. Dead. But he can't be. We're invincible. Right? I refuse to go, to accept this. He'll wake up. Or maybe I'll wake up.
