Chapter One: Introduction.

Everyone knew Spongebob, he was the most popular guy in Bikini Bottom. All the girls had crushes on him and they would follow him around. He had no idea where all this fame came from, some might say it was because of the way he toasted buns on the grill, others might say it was his other set of not so grilled buns.

Spongebob himself was confused about all of it, but he didn't mind the fame, after all, who doesn't like being loved by everyone?

School was pretty easy for our fellow yellow man; everyone offered to pay for his lunch, he had people doing his homework and even teachers had a thing for him, so good grades weren't a problem. He was known as the "bad boy" of the school, always getting in trouble and wearing cool, punk looking outfits. Shockingly though, he only had 2 friends, a famous business man that ran a restaurant, Mr. Krabs, and a not so famous neighbor of his that wasn't the brightest, Patrick Star.

Spongebob was very smart, smarter than most would think, his IQ being higher than everyone in Bikini Bottom. One thing he didn't know, although, was how a certain cyan squid felt about him.

That's right. His "moody" coworker, Squidward Tentacles, was in love with him. No one ever noticed his feelings because of his great acting. If you knew how Squidward acted around Spongebob you would actually think he hated him. But no, that wasn't the case.

It wasn't a simple crush, it was way more than that. He was in love with him, he had a burning passion for the yellow cook. His heart would start beating faster and faster when Spongebob walked in for class. He couldn't control his feelings for him, he had tried so much to make them go away, but nothing worked. So he just started to put on an act to make people believe he despised the boy. Surprisingly, it worked very well, no one suspected a thing.

The boys went to the same school, "SeaBlue High". Squidward had managed to convince the principal to move him into the same classes as his love interest pretty easily, so being close to him wasn't a problem. He had became aware of his feelings after summer ended, which was 2 months ago.
