Get You the Moon is about a lot of things, it is so much more than a teen fiction romance. It deals with PTSD, sexual harassment, depression, addiction and suicide. We see dysfunctional families, marriages falling apart, and ask an important question: is love always good? And of course, Scarlet and Levi's journey as people and together. But most of all, Get You the Moon is a story that wants to remind you that you deserve 100%. Do not settle for less. You deserve someone who would get you the moon if they could.
The diversity in this story was so important to me. From people of colour to LGBTQIA representation. It wasn't necessarily a political statement, but just a representation of life. If there was anything I didn't do justice, please excuse my shortcomings.
