Chapter 16

I didn't know what exactly was happening, but I could feel myself being dragged in the water. I guess the body binding curse they put on us was wearing off. The hour was getting nearer. The next thing I knew I had my breath back again and Cedric and I resurfaced. I was surrounded by the cheering of hundred's of students. I looked at Cedric and we began to swim over to the pier. Once we got up onto the wood of it, a towel was wrapped around me by Seamus. I sat on the ground.

"Thank god Diggory's got his head screwed on straight!" He said bending down. Once I saw Cedric again I jumped up hugging him and almost knocking him to the ground.

"Hey, you're alright." Cedric returned the hug. I was so glad I was a friend of his, but not only was I a friend, I was his best friend. I remember I stayed with him and his dad the last couple weeks of summer in my second year without permission from the Malfoy's because I was sick of their crap.

Hermione and Krum then resurfaced. Now all who was left was Harry and Ron. Fleur had been attacked and had to come back up or something like that, I wasn't sure of the whole story. I stood with Hermione, both of us wrapped in towels and warm robes. It was for a little while until Gabrielle and Ron came up, but where was Harry? The hour was already up; did that mean that he lost his fishlike powers? We waited another second and BOOM, Harry burst through the water.

"I want all the judges over here now." I heard Dumbledore mutter. I was still next to Cedric. Hermione had gone off to Ron and Harry. I turned around to see the judges and Dumbledore coming this way, I also caught a glimpse of platinum blonde hair, and we all know what that means. We looked each other in the eye for a split second and then Dumbledore charmed his voice to be loud.

"Attention!" He screamed. "And the winner is...Mr. Diggory!" A flash went off and I once again hugged Cedric.

"Congrats Ced!" I smiled.

"As seeing as Mr. Potter would have finished first, had it not been for his determination to rescue not only Mr. Weasley but the others as well, we've agreed to award him, second place, for outstanding moral finder!" He shouted over the cheers. I cheered for Harry when I heard this.

Everyone then made their way up to the Great Hall for lunch. I saw from a distance Draco had shoved some kid almost knocking him off the pier. I walked to a boat with Cedric and we rowed our way over to land. Once we stepped onto the board walk, I was ambushed into a hug by the twins.

"Nyx!" they yelled in unison.

"We're glad you're okay!" George said.

"Well I'm glad I'm okay too." I joked making them laugh. Just then I heard a voice from behind. I turned around

"So, who is the Slytherin Princess with now? First it was Krum, then it was the Weasel, who is it this time, slut, is it or is it not your precious Diggory? Draco sneered. I glared at him; Cedric could sense that I was getting pissed.

"Let's just go." He grabbed my arm trying to turn me around, but I didn't budge.

"You know Malfoy, for once, I thought you had changed, but now it's back to the at it used to be. Why are you so bipolar, boys are so stupid!" I yelled and stormed off dragging

"I still didn't get an answer!" He said from afar. I turned around once again.

"And why is it so important to you?" I crossed my arms.

"Because, if you're not with any of them, then that's means that you're single, and available." He raised his brows at me getting whistles from his posse. I rolled my eyes.

"Well, since I'm not a slut, I'll tell you." I stepped closer to him. "I was never with Krum, George is one of my best friends same with Cedric, and I am not available, to you that is, now if that's all, I suggest you run along to whichever Slytherin whore you call a girlfriend." I stormed off with Cedric at my side.
