It's been awhile
Since I've felt your touch,
Since you held me
In your arms.

Since you've held
My hand in yours,
Since your lips
Have touched mine.

I feel like this distance
Has created a divided
Between you
And me.

700 miles
Between us to be exact,
700 miles from feeling
your touch on my skin.

700 miles between
Your body and mine.
700 miles from my kiss
On your lips.

700 miles of distance
Between our eyes,
Too far to admire
The twinkle in yours.

Too far to hold
Your hand in mine,
Too far to hold my face
In your hands.

Too far to feel the
Heat from your body
Radiate on
To mine.

Too far to hold
You close when
We're both drifting
Off into sleep.

Too far to admire
Your smile and
Every inch of your
Skin I can see.

Too far to return
that favor,
Too far to show me
How much I mean to you.

Distance can either
Strengthen a connect
Or pull it even
Farther apart.
