16: Therapy

The next day, your last day off, Yoongi called a therapist to the house so they could speak to you about what troubles you.

You laid on your bed while the therapist sat next to you in a chair. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and clicked her pen, "alright, Miss Y/N. Talk to me about anything."

"...I don't know what to talk about." You struggled to think of something.

"Literally anything. Ummm...how was your day yesterday?" She asked.

You relayed the events of the day before to her. It was easy up until the part you talked about what happened after meditation.

"I'm not sure how to explain...but I called my boss dumb and I heard the voice of my ex-boyfriend yelling at me," you said.

"Why your ex? Why is he yelling?" She wrote down what was important.

"If I called him dumb or anything else offensive to him, he'd yell at me, then hurt me," you explained.

"Mhm," she nodded, "what else did he do?"

That one question had an answer that lasted two hours.

After spilling the guts of your relationship with Jungkook to the therapist, she had many details written down. Two pages, front and back, with what she thought she needed to keep in mind.

"Well, Miss Y/N," she took a deep breath, "there's no doubt that your past relationship was abusive during the last six months of it. From what I'm gathering, it got to be so bad that you developed a minor case of psychotic disorder. Also called psychosis."

"Psychotic disorder?" You asked. "Huh...I just thought I had anger issues."

Calling your hot-headed moments by the name of "psychotic episodes" was a joke...until it wasn't.

"You experienced quite a bit of trauma." The therapist flipped her sheets of your relationship history. "Being physically abused, mentally abused, verbally abused, abandoned, sometimes forgotten, cheated on...all of that can cause psychotic disorder."

"So what now? How is it treated?"

"Your case is minor, not yet requiring medicine. What we can do for now is try to manage your psychotic episodes. The first and most important step is to keep away from your ex. If you do feel an episode coming on, distract yourself. Count or sing a song in your head, think of happy memories, think of anything other than your anger. If you can't, you need to walk away from the situation and cross your arms over your chest so your hands aren't free to hit or grab anything." She wrote the steps down on a sticky note and left it on your nightstand.

"Alright, got it." You smiled.

"If things get worse, have your boss call me. You and I can figure something out." She held out her hand.

You shook it, "yes, thank you."

When she left, Yoongi called you to the dining room for lunch. Today, it was ramen noodles topped with sliced egg, fish cake, and scallions. FUCKIN DELICIOUS.

"How was therapy? Did it help?" He placed your food in front of you.

You nodded, taking your spoon into your hand, "it did help...turns out I'm a little bit of a psycho. I have a minor case of psychotic disorder, aka psychosis."

"Oh shit," Yoongi was only slightly surprised, "I mean...I kind of had a feeling there was something more to your unmatched rage."

"Aww," you giggled, "you think my rage is unmatched?"

"Yes, I've never seen anything else like it." He made a call, "Namjoon, lunch."

"WHAT? WHERE?" The guard asked from somewhere in the house, his questions echoing the halls.

"Gee, I wonder where every meal in this house is always served?" Your boss spoke sarcastically.

Namjoon and Hobi came barreling into the dining room, fighting for a spot at the table like they always do.

You laughed at them pushing each other over to get the "good chair". You weren't sure why that chair was so special, but two grown-ass men fighting over it was funny.

Yoongi looked on with annoyance written on his face, "SIT AND EAT."

Both guards huffed at each other and settled into their seats, but their expression brightened with Yoongi's noodles in front of them.

Later on in the night, you decided to take a relaxing bubble bath. The amount of bubbles, the temperature of the water, and the scent of the soap were perfect. You blew a pile of bubbles on your hand, loving how they floated away in the air.

A gentle knock fell on the door.

"Yes?" You looked at the door.

"Y/N, you got a letter from your ex." It was Yoongi on the other side.

"Come in," you said, "let's see what that asshole has to say."

Yoongi opened and immediately looked at his shoes when he caught a glimpse of you. He apologized as he shuffled to you, keeping his eyes down.

You chuckled at his actions, "Yoongi, you've seen me naked before. Chill."

He lifted his head and handed the letter to you, trying to only look at your face. Internally, he laughed at the pile of bubbles on your head.

You ripped the envelope open, the first thing catching your eye being a photo. Taking it between your fingers, you could only look at it for half a second before throwing it out of your hand.

It was a photo of Jungkook with his arm around another woman. His eyes stared directly at the camera like they were saying, "I'm fine without you". The woman was kissing his cheek with her eyes closed.

Shaking your head, you read the letter:

Y/N,

As you can see, I've moved on from you. Just like I taught you how to survive in the mafia, I'll do the same with my new girlfriend. She now takes your place in my bed, in my heart, and in my life. The beautiful Gwan Dae is your new enemy. She will help me regain my power. Beware.

Obviously not thinking of you anymore,
~ The best man you've ever been with

"This asshole!" You crumbled the paper up and drowned it in your bath.

Your voice brought Yoongi out of his trance of staring at your breasts with soapsuds slowly gliding down them, "huh?"

"He has a new girlfriend...honestly, that's not my problem. My problem is how he'll treat her. Could you please write my response for me?" You asked.

He left and came back with a pen and paper, ready to write anything you said.

"My response is as follows: Jungkook, I pray that you treat the beautiful Gwan Dae with real love and respect. Treat her the opposite of how you treated me. Because of you, I have a psychotic disorder. In regards to her being my new enemy, I look forward to fighting her off in the future. But really...be good to her. She's far too pretty to end up with mental issues like me. All the best, Y/N." There was sadness on your face as you spoke.

"...all the best," Yoongi repeated, "Y/N. Ok, got it."

"Thank you, send it off please," you sighed.

"Ok...anything else?"

"Yes. Thank you for giving me these days off. My response would've been explosive without a break to heal myself."

"Of course," he smiled, "I'm happy you're better."

"Love you." You smiled back.

Those words mixed with this setting of you in the bathtub and bubbles in a bunch of fun places made your boss want to dive in and join you. For a second, the night you two spent together flashed in his mind. He wanted that with you again someday, just not today. He respected your healing time.

He simply responded, "love you too." Then, left you to go back to relaxing.
