Y/n quickly rolled down her sock to see her ankle, even though she had memorized what was on it. She stared at it with shaky, large eyes.

Jungkook was staring at her. What is this girl doing?  he thought.

Then he looked at the spot her eyes were focused on.

His eyes widened, finally seeing the marking inked on her ankle.

He glanced at his own, and back to hers, and back to his.

He immediately scrambled up, tripping on his own feet, falling again. Y/N forcefully tore her gaze away from her ankle, staring at the man in front of her, who was also looking at her in shock.

"I- um-"

"Are you ok?" y/n asked.

"No.." he truthfully answered. "What is going on?"

"..I don't know."

Jungkook stood up once again, helping y/n to her feet. They stood still, studying each other, very puzzled.

"That– ... soulmate tattoo??" he asked her.

The female nodded and awkwardly stared at the ground.

He ran his hand through his hair and poked his cheek with his tongue.

"This is a problem.." he said, still in a state of shock. He glanced back at her, and their eyes met. They looked away from each other and she looked down at her feet.

Y/n was trying her best not to show the fact that she was having mental breakdown. One side of her was the happiest person in the world, but another side of her was terrified. Why does he look so mad?

He started walking to the building, motioning for her to follow her.

"Let's go to the teller."

"The teller?" y/n asked, confused.

"Yeah. I was reading about her earlier this week.. she's an elderly woman who helps people like us find their soulmates. To be honest, I was going to go to her and ask about my situation. And then I met you here like this."

He led her to his car and opened the passenger door for her, closing it when she settled in. He went to his side and started to reverse his car.

The car drive was extremely quiet.

"Why-"

"I-"

They spoke simultaneously.

"You go first." she said.

"No you can go, it's fine." he responded.

"No, you go-"

"Okay, okay." he said, grinning. "I don't think we've properly introduced ourselves yet. I'm Jungkook. You can talk casually with me."

She nodded and rested her chin on her hand. "I'm Y/n, a trainee."

"Nice to meet you, y/n." The male tried to break the atmosphere but ended up driving quietly.

Meanwhile, y/n was still panicking.

THE Jeon Jungkook? As my soulmate? Her heart was fluttering so fast she contemplated calling the hospital.

At that moment, she thought of all the good things that she had done in life. She must have saved the world in her previous life to have gotten a soulmate like him.

About half an hour later, they arrived at an old, moldy disintegrating building. It looked as if no one had been to it for decades. Jungkook got out of the car and y/n hesitantly followed him.

"Am I the only one that thinks this is really suspicious?" Y/n thought out loud. Jungkook turned his phone's flashlight and shuddered, seeing a beehive in the doorway.

"Who are you?" a raspy, random voice asked.

Y/n flinched and jumped back. Jungkook stepped in front of her in a defensive stance, closer to the unknown voice.

"Hi, we had some questions. Are you the teller?" he asked.

"Who are you?" the unknown voice repeated.

"I'm Jungkook. Do you know the teller? Are you the teller?"

"Ah- I've been expecting you. Follow me."

Jungkook glanced back at y/n and she gulped and stepped in front of him.

The teller lead them to a stairway.

"Hey um this is really suspicious- are we gonna get kidnapped? I'm too young to die- what if they sell our organs?!" y/n whispered to Jungkook, panicking.

"Uh– it IS super suspicious but we-"

"Ahem. I assume you two are bonded? Soulmates?" the teller turned around and asked the pair.

"Well– yes. Um. Actually we came to ask you about that." y/n responded. "How did you know?"

"Well, I wouldn't be a teller if I wasn't able to tell, right?"

"Good point." y/n said, nodding and following the elderly woman.

After what had felt like forever, they finally reached the end of the stairs. The three entered a vast, bright basement. Sofas and dazzling lanterns filled the room; the inside of the building completely opposite from the outside. In the middle of the room, there was a large circular table with cushioned seats. Behind, there was a bookshelf with cards, crystal spheres, cups, and so much more. Y/n blinked a few times to adjust to the new setting.

"Have a seat." the teller told the couple behind her. Now that it was illuminated, she was more visible. She was an old woman, about in her 60s, with grey hair and tanned skin. They sat down at the large circular table, in awe over what the room looked like.

The teller chuckled. "Not what you thought it would look like, right? I get that a lot."

The pair nodded and finally turned their heads towards the older woman.

"Now, shall we begin?"
