Dixie and nick

After hearing a very awkward conversation between Josh and Charlie nick walked out of the room and into the kitchen

Remind me never to hide in Charlie's room again he thought to himself he heard the whole thing and honestly, he felt bad for Charli but he knew josh was just saying those things because he was hurt

Everyone knew Josh had a crush on Charlie...well except Charli herself, she was obvious to the boy's crush, it made nick wanna lock them in a room and scream at them to confess their feelings

He walked into the dark kitchen making sure not to make any noise...well he tried but he ended up stumbling into the table then knocking down some cookie jars and then falling on his face

"Ow" he cried standing up

"Nick? What-" "AHHHH!" Nick let out a scream and punched the person who was talking in front of him "I know Kung fu bitch." he yelled and turned the light on

He was horrified when he saw Dixie on the floor clutching her nose. "Oh fuck! Dixie what the hell dude you don't sneak up on a guy like that!" He said helping her stand.

"Ow. ow. ow." Dixie whispered. Hitting nick on his chest repeatedly, nick ran to get some ice

"Oh yeah hit a girl in the nose then run away nick How mature of you" Dixie said still clutching her nose. Nick rolled his eyes "what no. I'm getting ice for you"

They walked over to the couch and set down nick placed the ice on her nose for her and gave her an awkward smile "I can't believe I hit you in the nose Dixie I'm sorry I thought you were some kinda demon....are I thought you where Bryce trying to get payback for ditching hide and seek"

Dixie made a confused face then shook her head. "Seriously nick it's okay....even if my nose is broken" she let out a small laugh and nick cringed.

"What are you even doing up at this time?" Nick asked and Dixie sighed placing down the ice pack on the table, nick saw how troubled she looked and knew something was wrong

"Well, I got a phone call...." Dixie said nick smiled "ooh secret admirer.?" He joked and Dixie laughed shaking her head

"No no not anything like that. Um..." she turned her whole body towards nick. Nick raised an eyebrow this must be serious he thought to himself

"Nick if I tell you this you have to promise not to tell anybody.....okay?" Nick looked confused for a second then smiled. "I'll take this secret to the grave"

Dixie nodded "okay then....um I got a call from an art museum in Italy, they're offering me a job," Dixie said nervously waiting for his reaction

Nick looked surprised "Oh...wow" Dixie cringed that was a bad reaction

"And I think I'm gonna take it"

Finally, nick noticed the excitement in her eyes and pushed back his sadness, he didn't want Dixie to leave but this job would be good for her

He gives her a big smile "Dixie that's amazing!" Dixie let out a breath of relief "really?, do you think I should go?" She asked nervously, Nick nodded his head "of course I think you should go, oh my god Dixie you could be like one those famous French people that eat baguettes and work in fancy art places"

Dixie laughed and suddenly grabbed nick in a hug, nick smiled sadly and rested his head against her shoulder, it was silent for a couple of seconds then Dixie said

"I'm gonna miss you nick" she sighed

"I'm gonna miss you too Dixie"

They stood like that for a while until they both pulled away. Nick noticed the tears in Dixie's eyes and wiped them for her giving her a little smile, Dixie looked up at him

"Can't believe I'm crying over the guy who just hit me in the nose" they both laughed "I have that effect on people" .Dixie rolled her eyes wiping over the leftover tears

"Hey wanna have a short celebration? I'm gonna watch the new conjuring and make some popcorn and candy. Wanna watch it with me?" Nick asked

Dixie smiled "sure nick...."

He smiled at her and they both walked in the kitchen together

"Now Dixie if I start crying it's not because I'm scared okay? It's because I got popcorn in my eye"

"Sure"    Dixie laughed "just make sure not to punch the tv"

"Ughhh" nick groaned opening up the shelf and looking at Dixie who was leaning against the fridge smirking "will you ever let that go?"

"Nope"
