CHAPTER 1

THE DECISION PART 1 (LUHAN)

Luhan’s POV

“How sure are you son?” my mother, whose smile is so wide, asked me.

I nodded and gave her a smile that showed how happy I am. She got that and gave me a hug.

It’s time that I make HER my top priority over other things. We’ve waited long enough.

I looked at my father and saw him head low. My smile gradually left my face and I stared at him. He may be noticed my stare so he looked at me. He smiled at me. I smiled back at and hug him. They are always there for me. For me, they are the best parents. They always support me in almost everything.

“Son, we know how much you love Xia but in this state of yours? How? I mean, you are now an idol. Given that you and your group promote in China, you know that most of your time is still off the country. And--”

“I have thought of it for so long.” I said. My parents seemed waiting for my next words and I gave it to them expecting the reactions they would give.

“I’m going to quit. I am sure the group will understand me.” And I didn’t fail. They gasped. My mother even put her right hand on her mouth as if something should be stopped from coming out of it while the left one held my father’s hand. I smiled at the sight.

“Isn’t it what you wanted?? I mean you last it for almost two years and now, you’re going to quit?” My father expressed. Again, I gave him a cheeky smile and put my arms over my mother’s shoulder before I answer him.

“It’s for her. That’s all that matters. I don’t want to put her in any danger. You know how fans--”

“And you think they would not come after her once you quit?” My mother asked me, frowning.

I looked at her questioningly. Several seconds passed before I heard my father sigh and looked at me worriedly.

“We may not be around you every time you had your concerts and tours but we are always up to date about you, thus, we know how aggressive and possessive your fans can be.”

“Father. Not all of them. And besides, I can protect her. You always protect me and I am so grateful for that. But this time, I am going to protect her the way you do to me. I am your only son after all.” I grinned at them.

“You have grown so much. When was the last time I even had a complete session of playing golf with you, buddy?” My father asked smiling at us while patting my left shoulder. My mother is smiling too.

“Ah, Father. We just played last month.” I answered.

“Darling, you’re getting old. You forget things easily.” My mother said, chuckling at my father. My father just smiled and hugged my mother. I smiled at the sight of them-still looking madly in love with each other.

“I want the same thing happens to us.” I thought as Xia’s image filled my mind.

I got off the trance when I felt my mother patted my hands lightly.

“What is it, Mother?”

“When are you going to tell your group?”

“As soon as I get back to Seoul.”

“Are you sure you’re letting me go? Are you??” I asked her.

She nodded smiling at me. Though she looked happy, that is not what her eyes were telling me.

“Xia. You can stop me. It’s just the words--”

“No Han. It’s your dream. We are not in a relationship for me to stop you from reaching your dreams. You want to be a singer right? You can do it. I believe you can pull it all through. I will support you.”

“But Xia. We are not in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship because that is what you want. I love you. You know that right? And I know you love me too. I can feel it you know. I just don’t know the reason that is keeping you off to answer me.” I said sighing.

I got accepted in one of the three big companies in Seoul as a trainee. That company has been producing idols who become popular all over the world. Being a trainee is already a big opportunity for me but I can let it go if Xia would stop me.

I’ve been pursuing her for almost three years now and still, my princess does not give me her YES.

“Go Han. I’ll be waiting. Jiayou.” I heard her say before turning her back on me.  But before completely leaving me, I shouted at her.

“Five years, Xia! I’ll be back after five years! You should be prepared by then! You’re going to marry Lu Han!”  I saw that she raised her hands at me as if she is surrendering while her back is still facing me. I sigh.

“What am I going to do with you, Princess?” I mumbled as she walked away from me.
