The next morning I woke up to the sound of my door creaking open and Richie walking in
"Morning Richi-"
I quickly shut my eyes as he opened the blinds and let a bright ray of sunshine hit my face
"Sorry y/n 😂" he said while pulling me out of bed
I got up with the help of his hand and stretched, still getting used to the light.
I walked downstairs and saw that Richie had made us both pancakes with syrup and berries
"Thanks Rich!"
I sat down on the seat next to him and we began to eat.

After we finished I went upstairs and took a shower in the guest bathroom

I got out of the bathroom and saw Richie sitting on my bed waiting for me
"oh my- WE HAVE SCHOOL!" I had completely forgotten and I was now an hour late!
"Don't worry, I called us in sick today" Richie said reassuringly
I let out a sigh of relief
Richies POV:
I looked over at her as she sat down next to me
I wanted to take her to the park so we could have a picnic today but I was scared she would take it the wrong way and hate me
eventually I built up the courage and asked her
"M-maybe we could go to the p-p-park for a picnic today..?"
"Ofc! that would be so fun!"
My face lit up with excitement
even this wasn't a date like i wante- wait, no! I don't want to go on a date with her.. but- no, Richie stop. shes your friend and she will never think of you like that!
Y/n POV:
"Ofc! that would be so fun!"
For a moment he looked exited.. then he started to get sad
"Richie?.. Whats wrong?"
"Oh.. uhm, nothing" he said with a fake smile
I gave him a confused look and we sat in silence for a moment
"Maybe we should start getting ready?" I suggested
"Ok"
We began walking to our rooms and I put on some light makeup
I had already gotten changed unlike Richie so I wasn't going to take as long
I then put on my converse and walked out to wait for Richie.

"So do you wanna go now?" He asked
I nodded, he grabbed a picnic basket and we headed to the park.
