Hello sir, I am your son’s friend calling from Chandigarh. As it seems that he had deleted his accounts from every social media sites, I am just longing to know if he is ok. He said. The Doctor called me a few hours later and told me that his son is suffering from Cancer for the past 20 days and he lost all the hopes for getting his life back as it was before and these conceptions are making his body not responding to the treatment as well. He asked the doctor if he could talk to him on phone as soon as possible. He also told him about Shweta and his son’s relationship and got Shweta on the line so that she could share her thoughts and feeling directly with him.
After listening to her, the Doctor decided to surprise his son so that Shweta and the real Rahul can talk to each other and can solve their misunderstandings. His father joined us three in a video call. That moment when they saw each was so delightful for both of them. Shweta have been thinking about this moment many times in her mind. But she didn’t know that she’ll get so nervous and petrified that she wasn’t able to speak a word. When they had an eye to eye contact that feeling was tremendously different that I can’t explain in words. This Topsy-turvy situation was so unexpected for her that she can’t even figure out how she’s really feeling. She was in desolate as well as in euphoria state at the same time, while seeing her beloved lying on that unwelcomed bed. All that moment that they spent together would be floating in their eyes like the raindrops in air and sizzles as they hit the ground surface. He didn’t said a single word and not even Shweta. The way they were looking at each other says it all about them, their love and affection. They were so lost souls looking at each other as they knew there isn’t a second chance for them to see each other again. That moment was a cumulonimbus cloud, made them feel still and flat. The tears in their eyes says it all. Then suddenly he started taking deep breaths. The air seems to be unstable, moist and with gusty winds all around making it dark, stormy and scary too. Then he waved his hand to say last good bye to her and was willing to say something couldn’t really get through that state. His eyes with tears and face with a smile was working like a hallucination that I wasn’t able to blink my eyes even. Shweta was just looking at his face with tears. Then suddenly the face got still. We all knew that he is no more. The Doctor switched off the ventilator and went out of the ICU room without ending the video call. He probably didn’t want us to see him crying that’s why he went out. I was just looking at her face with tears in my eyes too that I still can’t blink. At this point, I really don’t want to console her but to cry and flood off her feelings and sorrow. Then after a while, his dad…The Doctor ended up the video call. His death left us all in chaotic state. Our life’s so uncertain that we can’t really figure out when it will blossom and when will it shed away. And that’s how it all ends….
