A|N So school has been just kinda rough... Things are going very slowly. In the mornings before school I work on this, at lunch I work on my public journal, and after school I work on a REAL book with a mentor. So expect slow chapters. I have NOT given up on this book, so yay. Now enjoy my book of, erm, I don't know. I was going to say "crap" but then I would get yelled at in the comments so infer what you want.

Jackson's POV

I stared at the cell wall. Charlette had been gone for about 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 46 seconds. They had taken her for testing, but I had no idea what that meant. Was, she gonna be used like a Class-D?

Or was she being tested on like a SCP?

The time went by. 2 hours, 49 minutes, 18 seconds. I was concerned now. When I hit 3 hours exactly, I had the heavy door being opened. She walked into her cell, completely unscathed. The guards had a smile on their faces, as they talked. Their faces fell when they had to leave and close the cell door.

Immediately, I felt something radiate pure happiness. It scared me. "Cha- Charlette?" I said, my voice quivering. "Are you ok? Are you hurt?" She replied, urgently. I felt more flood of "happiness" coming from her. I relaxed a bit, but I still felt tense. "The- the power that is coming from, it's, kind of pure happiness. It scares me." A look of understanding crossed her face.

Her power slowly faded away. "Why does it scare you? I thought you would be happy I have a new power?" She said this without any loathing, just curiosity, but it still hurt.

I inhaled sharply. "I don't like feeling that power and never have. I don't know why. When I was a Class-D, I was tested on SCP-999. I was forced to feel happy, I guess, until it hurt. Then, the so-called friendly SCP hurt me. Then, when I got mad, it attempted to kill me."

She stared, slightly shocked. She stared for maybe a minute before I got up and closed the curtain between our cells. Seconds later a team arrived, and I was taken out to testing.

We arrived in a room, with two Class-D and a scientist, wearing a strange green jade ring. Out of nowhere, the Class-D attacked me. I ducked under them as they lunged, and rolled out of the way.

I shattered the glass behind me, and turned them into shards, or knives. Before I could launch them, the Class-D were on top of me. I bellowed, and the Class-D flew off of me. On started hopping around on the floor, like a bunny, the other was doing backflips, and muttering how the aliens ate his chocolate apple.

The scientist too, looked slightly dazed. He shook his head, and quickly retreated. An armed security guard walked in and took me back to my cell. The whole time he stayed well behind me, but his gun focused on me. There was no kindness, only fear.

When I got back into my cell, the curtain was opened, and Charlette was watching me intensely. A|N No dirty thoughts, please. "You are afraid." She said, her voice dripping with compassion.

I sighed. "So what, are you able to read thoughts or something?" She shrugged. "More of your aura, I guess. Your emotions." I snorted.

"Aura's aren't real. At least, I don't think." She shrugged again. "So, what happened out there?"

"Some Class-D were ordered to attack me. They managed to get on top of me and started beating me. I don't know what happened, but my head, everything became foggy. I let loose and boom, everyone in the area is insane except for the scientist."

"So I understand if you never want to talk to me again, because I am a monster. I am scary, able to drive men insane with the snap of my finger. I get it."

She glared at me hard, and it was honestly kind of scary. "Look, you aren't a freak, you aren't a monster, and you are most certainly not going to say that I want to give up on you. I am your friend. You have been the only person I have been able to talk with, the only one who who talks back. You are my only friend."

She grabbed my shirt and yanked my toward her, planting a quick kiss on my lips through the bars. I was in utter shock. Charlette blushed, and smiled shyly. I heard slow clapping behind me.

"Am I interrupting something?" I felt my cheeks flush, as I heard Conner's voice. I turned around, and he and Payton were smirking. "Conner! Payton! What are you doing here?" Their faces turned serious. "We came to talk to you. We heard about what happened. Word spreads quickly ya know."

"It also doesn't help that two inmates came in screaming about metal pigeons from mars." A|N hehe catch my reference? Payton added. "Dude, don't worry. They are doing better now."

I sighed with relief. "That's awesome. Thanks for coming in, but I am fine now." Conner laughed, "Yeah we saw it all. We will leave you two to do your, erm business."

I heard them laugh as they walked out, the heavy door closed. I turned to Payton, and we both laughed. "Those two are quite something, aren't they?" She said, a smile plastered on her face.

She blushed slightly, and I knew what was coming. "So, how'd you feel about that?" "Uhhhhhhh" was my only response. "Smooth, my dude. Very smooth." I heard Payton say through the door. I groaned, but I still smiled. "Yeah, I kind of like you too." I said quietly. "We can still hear you!" Conner shouted, and they started cracking up.

"So, what now?" I asked, trying to ignore the twins laughing. It didn't succeed very well. "You tell me." She said. We laughed and joked for the rest of the day, and even though I had found a new, terrible curse, Charlette made it all worth a while.

A|N YAY ANOTHER CHAPTER! Did I make them kiss too soon or perfect timing? I enjoy the helpful comments :D Also, this is NOT romance, I doubt I could write it if I tried. I am a stranger to love. That said, I need help with this or at least this aspect.
