Jackson's POV

I hummed along with my music. When I got transported to my cell 6 months ago, they gave me an IPod and some headphones. They wanted to see how it impacted my powers. So far, nothing worked. I did, though find music I really enjoyed. Rap.

Yeah, well I'm a fucking kamikaze crashing into everything,

You beat me and Islamic Nazi that means there is no such thing

I've going for your jugular since Craig G Duck Alert

Wedgie in my underwear, the whole bedsheet and the comforter.

Stuck up in my rectal crack, kiss my disrespectful ass,

I ride through your coldesac

Window cracked, bumpin your reference tracks,

You collab on a different rap

I have never said his rap

Overstayed my welcome, stepped in crap ruin your welcome matt

So spit that shit from the heart like you wrote,

well I tea-bagged the microphone cause I go nuts on it

Like a fighter jet lined with explosives, that'll strike any moment

Heading right at opponents, and I'm the fucking pilot that drove it

Smash into everyone

Crash into everything

Fack fack on everyone

I'ma kamikaze gonna

I checked my IPod to see what song this was. Kamikaze, By Eminem. I listened to the rest of the song, loving the lyrics. Heck, at this point I probably would have kamikaze-d if it wasn't for Charlette. Charlette was discovered off the streets of Manhattan, and she has my abilities too!

Charlette had long, silky, brown hair with natural blond highlights, blue eyes, I dash of freckles, and a perfectly proportioned face. She had tan skin, which complemented the ripped blue jeans and a Sublime A|N Sublime is a band. Freakin amazing. t-shirt. She was funny, I laughed at her jokes, she laughed at mine. She always new what to say, when to say it, and when to leave me alone.

I, on the other hand, was her opposite. She was my age, but she had a perfect face, while my brown untamed hair went everywhere, a fairly small nose, large ears, and crooked teeth. Sure, I was strong and slightly muscular, but I was also a nerd. Charlette enjoys reading and will talk about books with me, but she is more of a book geek than a nerd.

We train together and eat together, read together, and even gossip. Some of the scientists would join us, out of pleasure. We didn't ever try to escape our cells, and even if we did try, we would get caught quickly. We, of course, were still always watched, monitored.

After 682 thought he could use me and 999 was scared of me, they were worried about mass breakouts. A shudder ran through me as I recounted my experience with 682.

"You are mine, he hissed."

"But, why?"

"You are... of great use to me." He said this as if it was obvious.

"I- I am just a human!"

"Are you sure about that?" And he lunged.

I screeched and threw my hands up in front of my face.

I put my hands down and 682 was covered in concrete.

It wasn't even shards of concrete. I had reformed it.

I looked at the wall to my left. Nothing was there.

"LET ME OUT OR I SWEAR ON THE SCARLET KING YOU WILL DIE SLOWLY!"

A MTF unit approached from behind it. "We will take it from here."

My vision blackened, and the concrete broke apart.

I came out of my thoughts when Charlette asked, "Memories again?" I gave a slow nod. Her voice was like hot cocoa on a cold, unforgiving night. "It won't happen again. And if it does, I will be there too." She touched my hand through the bars. "But that's the problem. I don't want you to be there. To get hurt." I whispered quietly, tears in my eyes. "It will be fine. Now, go to bed ok? If you have nightmares, wake me up." I nodded, but I wasn't going to do it. I closed the curtain over the window, and went to bed.

Sleep never came easy, but Charlette always helped. Our talks before curfew calmed me down, but it wasn't always enough to keep nightmares away. Before her, I had nightmares about my family getting hurt, or me. Now, it was always Charlette. I wandered off into a restless sleep. I woke up in the morning, Something felt wrong. I was actually having a great dream, something I haven't had in a while.

Charlette ripped open her side of the curtain. I opened mine. "Do-do you feel something?" She asked, her voice quivering. It was my turn to be strong, but I was still scared. "It will be ok. I promise. I won't let anything happen to you." She nodded, shivering.

A bright light suddenly burst through the the cell gates, and the grinding of of metal and stone, worried us even further. We shared a look of terror, but with some determination as well. We looked at each other and nodded. This was something we have been practicing for.

We combined our efforts into moving millions of particles in front of us, thickening the the air, into a shield. We then used our powers to push them together, forming a almost indestructible wall of air. A man, lit on fire, was running to our cells. "How did he open the doors?" I asked. She shrugged, sweat formed on her head. I cracked the concrete in front of the walls and floor, into shards, in case it got in.

While I was doing that, Charlette removed moisture from the air and put it in a ball, about the size of a basketball. We looked at each other ready to fight. The burning ran ran inside our cell, which opened on its own. We both yelled, my concrete knives flying at it, and Charlette's water ball flew at it. I then used the rest of my power to move the wall and wrap around the man. I fell, and before I was unconscious, I saw Charlette fall too, and security run in.
