Driving to work today everything seemed new and exciting. As if I had a whole new outlook on life. I had a smoking hot boyfriend who totally adored me, a best friend who believes in me and a super stable place of work! The glass was half full. So New Year's Eve and I'm feeling pretty amazing! Only 4 hours of work then the kindercare pharmaceuticals New Years office party starting at 4pm. Once I arrived at work I looked at my phone and tossed it into the front pocket in my car. I didn't need my phone, not today. I got out the car and walked towards kindercare.
I was incredibly confident until I stepped into the elevator. What if no one liked the new hard working Eliza. I looked completely different! My hair was short my shoes we delicate heels, I wore a red knee length dress and a grey jacket. I was actually wearing appropriate work attire for once.
'Ding!' The elevator doors opened. I stepped out my heart was pounding in my chest but I kept it hidden by walking confidently toward Charmonique at her desk.
"Good morning Charmonique!" She looked up.
"Eliza? What happened to you? I mean you look great but different?"
"I decided to soften my pallet and take it back to the old Eliza!"
"Well then,Henry must be very proud"
"Henry?" I was confused.
"You know your best fiend, the one that's helped you become this vision of maturity......"
"OMG! Charmonique you are so right Henry is gonna be totes proud of me"
"You'll have to show him the new you once he gets here."
"What do you mean? He isn't here yet?" Henry was always at work, he practically never leaves.
"Nope, I tried calling but no answer, he hasn't been here over the weekend even though he had a number of important meetings with Sapestene. He got his cast off yesterday apparently, he probably doesn't feel up to it."
"Oh well, if and when he gets here tell me. What about Freddy?"
"He's waiting by your desk."
"Great, thanks Charmonique! "

I walked over to my desk slowly, I spotted Freddy sitting on my chair spinning around on it like a child.
"Hey Freddy!"
"Hey ba....... what are you wearing!?!" "Do you like it?"
It's umm well different, your not showing off your gorgeous legs enough in it!"
"Well new year, new Eliza!"
"Is this one of Henry's assignments? You've gotta stop letting him change you, just be you!"
"Freddy, this is more me then I've been for a very long time!"
