Outside trin's point of view: "this song is so old!" I say over the loud music."Watermelon Sugar.. High!" I sing and laugh. After 30 minutes we pull up to the huge Ikea. "This is gonna be fun" Paul says and I giggle and grab his hand. This place looks untouched for the most part. We walk in and there seems to be a lot of furniture still here. Ikea Paul grabs the big cart and I sit on it as we roll through the store grabbing everything we think we need. Shelves, plants, kitchen appliances, a new bed and bed set, rugs, paint and flooring. We continue getting what we need when we hear footsteps. We let go of the cart and hide behind a couch. I peek and see soldiers dragging kids behind them. "Should we talk to them?" I whisper to Paul, he gets up and points the gun at them and the soldiers pull out their guns. The kids get scared and bolt off. We grab our cart and push it as we start chasing them because we know why these soldiers have them. After a few minutes we finally catch up and the kids turn as they hit a dead end. They look terrified. "Hey we aren't bad people.." Then I hear the soldiers footsteps and turn around. "Let them go!" The male soldier yells. Then the girl soldier whispers to him and they put away there weapons and look back at us. "We didn't want to steal them.. We were promised food and shelter for us.." They say ashamed. "I don't know who you are, or why you are stealing these kids.. but if you want we can take you to where we have been staying, it's safe other than the Mall nearby." I say as I reach my hand out to the younger kid who looks about 6, she has short hair and dirty clothes. The kid next to her looks older, he has a shaved head and also dirty clothes. They walk closer and i grab the girls hand. "Yeah.. that would be nice.. and I am sorry for being hostile" The male says. The soldiers leave to get another cart and collect as much stuff as they can. We keep the kids and start getting stuff for them. Then we find the soldiers and take the stuff to the truck. Once the truck can't fit more the soldiers lead us to there big jeep and we put the rest of the stuff in there and the kids get in the jeep. We get in the truck and start driving. Leading them through the valleys all the way back to the city. Apartments I bring the kids inside and let them rest in our bed. The soldiers say they are good on rest and we lead them to a bigger area in the apartment across the hall from our room. It has two dirty empty rooms, a ruined bathroom, a kitchen that isn't that ruined and a living room with just a destroyed couch. I bring in some paint and start painting the walls. The soldiers, Scott and Amy, work on moving out the nasty couch and moving a new one in and start putting it together and adding pillows. Paul works on fixing the power in the bathroom and cleaning it up. We work til about midnight and as I leave the room I see Scott and Amy passed out on the couch. Paul just finished doing the plumbing and I walk with him back to our room. We grab some blankets and put them on the floor and lay down, going to sleep minutes later. ——————————————————————————— paul's point of view: I wake up to Trin cuddling me as we are on the ground. The kids are awake and turns out they found the cats. I get up carefully letting Trinity slowly lay on the pillow and get up. "You found the kitties.. they're super nice you can pet them" I say as I smile and give a kitten to each of them. I let them play with the kittens and the mama cat watches closely. I start making enough food for everyone, we managed to get quite a bit at Ikea. I make eggs, bacon and sausage. After serving the food I go and get Scott and Amy. Trinity wakes up right as we get back to the room and everyone enjoys the food. "Man... it's been so long since i've been this full" I say as I laugh. "Me too man.." Scott says as he chuckles. "Hey.. your name was Paul right? Wanna have a guys day while they take care of the kids, if it's alright with them of course" "Wow! Just gonna make us watch them?" Trinity says and then laughs. "It's alright with me though, me and Amy will make them help us with their room" Outside I get up and wash all the dishes, then follow Scott out to the truck and we go drive out.. "We should go to a thrift store.. maybe goodwill? for some clothes maybe? I saw one a few buildings down from the burnt down hospital.. Here's the map me and Trin made"
