for self-indulgent purposes

noen sat at the vacant area of pavement alongside his boyfriend. the skies were grey today, a change from the usual bright blue los angeles. the two favored this place a lot as no one else really knew about it besides them. memories of long talks about their futures and make-out sessions come to his mind whenever he thinks of the place

chase had mentioned something earlier about a chance of rain today though noen couldn't really tell, he had a bad habit of focusing on the other boy's lips rather than the words that came out of them. and when drops of water began to fall from the sky, he was sure that's what chase had said.

noen wouldn't say he hated the rain, maybe not out loud of course knowing chase's love for the rain.. he just very strongly disliked the idea of cloud waste on his everything.

"chase! it's raining!" noen started to get up hoping they'd leave as soon as possible. even though that probably wouldn't happen, he can always wish.

"so?"

"so, i don't want my clothes to get wet!"

"not even for a kiss?" chase challenged.

"mm, fine!" noen surrendered as chase leaned towards him, their lips softly giving into each other. chase ran a hand through noen's hair which he knew he loved oh so much. noen eventually pulled away not for air, but for concern of the rain.

"okay now let's go ins--" chase had suddenly picked noen up, holding his legs around his waist. "chase, put me down now." noen demanded but he didn't look half intimidating.

"you're so cute when you're angry."

"i'm serious chase i'm gonna fall!"

"i'm serious chase i'm gonna f-- oh shit." chase tried mocking him but proved noen's point in the process as they fell on top of each other.

"idiot." was all noen had to say, he wasn't mad though. he was smiling a bit in fact.

chase laughed at noen's giddyness, "you're the idiot who's on the floor in the rain." he pointed out.

"so we're both idiots?" noen questioned as he giggled. he didn't know if the rain had something in it, but he was feeling really happy right now.

"correct."

"i love being an idiot with you."

"i love being an idiot with you too." chase cupped noen's face as he leaned in for another sweet kiss.

and it feels like everything he's ever wanted.
