Ravens POV
Six days, sixteen hours, and forty-five minutes. That's how long we've been on our journey, counting the breaks we took. I'm exhausted, I haven't had a good night's sleep since the day we left.
I know Beau is exhausted as well; he flew the first three days. I made him land and take a break, that's when I wrote and sent Michael a letter. I hope he's got it by now.
I didn't want Beau flying anymore so he's been walking, or trotting, the last three days. Somehow Sarah is sleeping, I don't know how she could be comfortable right now.
Hell, my ass hurts just from sitting here. I hate long trips, I wonder where we are. I know for a fact we're no longer in Detroit.
Suddenly Beau stopped abruptly, I almost flew off of him. Sarah on the other hand was startled so bad, she fell and landed in a mud puddle.
I tried so hard not to laugh but failed. She was so angry.
Beau sat on the ground so I could get off of him, I was still laughing at Sarah. "Oh, you think this is funny?! I'm covered in mud!! Can you clean me up please!?"
She realized I wasn't letting up; she had a smirk on her face. I slowly stopped laughing when she got up and started walking towards me, oh no. "Sarah...I know what you're thinking. Don't do it."
I started walking backwards trying to get away, but she started walking faster. Then, she started running towards me, "NOOOOOO!!!" I ran away, but she was right on my tail.
I almost escaped her, until I tripped over a log, "AH!! Damn it!!" I looked up and she had an evil smirk across her lips. "Sarah I'm sorry!! Don't do it! Nooooo!!!"
It was too late, she hugged me. I screamed but it was no use, she was hugging me tight and I was now covered in mud. Damn it.
She let me go and started laughing hard, I was pouting but it only made her laugh harder. "Okay okay, I'm sorry I laughed. I would clean us up but....my powers aren't working. Maybe it's because I'm exhausted."
She nodded her head and started looking around, "Hey look there's a lake, maybe we could just wash ourselves off. That way the mud doesn't dry up and irritate our skin."
"Good plan, let's go. First, let me call Beau." I whistled as loud as I could, and Beau came instantly. I smiled and started rubbing his mane and hugged him as he nuzzled me.
"Sarah and I are going to clean ourselves in the lake, be on the lookout for us, okay?" He neighed and nodded for us to go towards the lake.
Following behind Sarah we went to the lake, I felt the water to make sure it wasn't too hot or cold. "Water is fine, let's go." I took off my shoes and socks and set them to the side. Sarah did the same, but I don't think she was expecting me to take off my shirt and pants.
She started blushing and looked away, she was as red as a tomato. "What's wrong? We have the same body parts, nothing we haven't seen before." She stayed quiet and kept looking everywhere but in my eyes.
I put my hair in a messy bun, "I'm keeping my bra and panties on." She was still quiet, "Sarah what is it? I'm getting itchy."
After an eternity she finally spoke up, "I'm insecure about my body. I'm covered in scars, and I look disgusting."
She looked me in my eyes, and I could see she was now crying.
"Your body on the other hand is beautiful, perfect even. Your skin is a beautiful shade of mocha, your curvy in all the right places, your breasts aren't too big or too small. Sorry, I wasn't trying to stare. But you're just beautiful in general. Me? I'm so pale I'm almost grey. Besides the scars, I'm not curvy, I'm flat-chested, and I'm so thin it's almost unhealthy. I'm not as beautiful as you."
