ONCE AGAIN they were all gathered for an unscheduled meeting, this time in the tree house.
Davey set down a milk carton from his fridge, showing the side where the face of a kid printed itself. A kid named Dusty Dewitt.
"Congrats, you're getting your calcium. So what?" Eats deadpanned.
"Mackey is the Cape May Slayer."
"Okay, Davey, what the fuck kind of accusation was that." M/n nearly chocked on his saliva.
The guys laughed at another one of his insane theories. "I knew we shouldn't have taken you to the library Davey, I blame myself."
"I also blame Farraday." M/n nodded, patting Farraday's shoulder and holding a hand up.
"No man look!" Farraday grabbed the milk carton as he examined the kid's face. "Who's the missing ginger?"
"I don't know, why don't you look at the name that's written right there." M/n sarcastically pointed to the name of the kid under the picture.
"That's the kid I saw in Mackey's dining room a few weeks ago when we were playing manhunt." Davey explained.
"Redheads all look the same." "So true."
"If you're so sure it was him, why don't you just tell your parents?" Woody questioned.
"Because they'd never believe me. Guys I was only like, ten feet away, I saw him clear as day. That's him." Davey gestured to the milk carton.
"Plus, what about the Hoffmans? Their lake house is only a couple hours north, but their car's still here? And they're neighbors."
"So?"
"What if one of the Hoffmans saw Mackey with Dusty-"
"Who?"
"The missing ginger." M/n reminded Woody.
"Mackey found out somehow and killed them to get rid of them." Davey continued.
"Eats, tell them what Kyle said." Farraday spoke up.
"Farraday, what the fuck." Eats turned to look at the boy.
"What did Kyle say?" Davey questioned in curiosity.
