Start Over

Albert's POV

I woke up with a sore headache as I remembered what happened last night. Nagpakalasing ako, I turned to face the nightstand and there I saw the woman I regret letting go. I let her go because I was being an irresponsible husband, I cheated on her after I knew we weren't having a baby. I wasn't there on her gloomy days as I was too being selfish with myself. It has been 8 years, 8 years of being divorced. Yes I have someone but it wasn't the same as Eula, 8 years I still love her. "Babe, I was about to wake you up kasi may important meeting ka diba sa Liondel Empire?" (Pag alam mo san galing to, hello hihi). Sabi ng girlfriend kong si Romina as she entered the room. Oh shoot. Oo nga pala. "What time is it?" I asked. "8:30." She said and I got up and quickly went to the bathroom para mag shower. 10 a.m yung meeting namin.

Nagbihis ako after tsaka na bumaba. "I already prepared your breakfast, ingat and goodluck sa meeting." Sabi niya at kinuha ko na yung baon ko, I kissed her goodbye on the cheeks tsaka na umalis. dumiretso muna ako sa opisina para sabay na kami ng assistant kong si Dana, parang anak na namin itong si Dana, she was there since day 1, 18 palang siya nung naging assistant ko siya. Even though she's 18 she knows her responsibilities. She was there always for me and Eula. "Sup paps, excited for this brand alliance?" She says as she entered the car.  "Nervous but also excited." I say as we were now heading to Liondel Empire. "Sir tanong ko lang." She said and I know its serious when she calls me sir. "Ok what is it?" "Namimiss mo din ba si madam?" I sighed for a second. "To be honest, yes I do miss her, I really regret letting her go." I said and it went silent. 

"Wow". She said as she looked out of the window, I was also captivated by the building. Binaba ko muna si Dana para magpakita sa ibang kasama namin at tsaka na akong nag park. "So are you guys ready?" I ask them and they all gave me a nod. Pumasok na kami and dang ang ganda din, ang galing ng gumawa nito ah. Pumunta na kami sa reception. "Uh excuse me we are here for the brand alliance." "Oh hello Mr. Martinez, the meeting will be at the conference room at 6th floor." He said and we were guided on the way there. As we got out of the elevator I heard a familiar voice na galing sa isang conference room. "Seryoso ba kayo ha?! what a waste of time, Ayusin niyo yan!" That voice. it sound really familiar. "Sir this way please." Sabi ng empleyado na parang takot. Pumasok na kami sa kabilang conference room. "The CEO will be with you shortly." She says and left the room. "Dana, pamilyar ba yung boses sayo kanina?" "Oo sir, parang s-" Naputol yung sagot niya nung may pumasok sa conference room. 

"Everyone may I present Ms. Valdes, CEO of Liondel Empire." Sabi ng assistant ata. Did I heard it right? Valdes? "Paps si.. si." bulong ni Dana sabay turo sa pinto. Dahan-dahan akong lumingon and my eyes widened as I saw who it was. It's her. She changed. She looks intimidating, She's not the Eula I once knew. Agad akong siniko ni Dana kaya ako tumayo. "Ms. Valdes it's a p-pleasure meeting you." Nabulol ako shit. "Pleasure meeting you too Mr. Martinez. Not" She says as if she didn't know me at binulong pa yung not. Kala niya di ko narinig. "So shall we start?" She asks and we all just nodded. We started the presentation and ni present na namin lahat for this brand alliance. Few minutes have passed the presentation ended and I started look at her. She has her finger resting on her chin. That means something bad? right? "Hmm, I would gladly accept this brand alliance Mr. Martinez." "Thank you Mrs. M- uhm Ms. Valdes." Inulit ko nung binigyan niya ako ng masamang tingin. She never gave me that look before or so I thought. "Ok so we should meet next week for the Batangas project?" I asked and she just gave me a nod. "Well, Nice to meet you all but, I still another meeting. Good day." She says and leaves.

"Sir si madam ba talaga yun? I don't know but she looks intimidating and more strict than before." Dana said as we walk to the elevator and I couldn't agree more. "Siya nga. Naguiguilty ako ulit, sana di ko na lang siya pinakawalan." "Sir, there's always a second chance. Destiny brought you up together, Sir imagine not seeing her for what? 8 years and then suddenly you two saw each other." She said and she has a point.  I could've move on from her but I couldn't. "Do you think she moved on?" "Uh sir for me, I think not yet. I still have that feeling." She says and pumasok na sa elevator but as I turned to close it I saw her again. "uh I'll just use the other one." She says but I remembered under maintenance yun kabilang elevator but I gave her time. Nauna na yung ibang kasama namin leaving me, Dana, and Eula alone. She sighs and I look at dana and she just shrugged. "Sama ka na lang uhm maybe you have something urgent." "No thanks Mr. Martinez." "I insist Ms. Valdes." I say and she rolls her eyes before entering. She pressed the button and I look at Dana and we know what we're both thinking. Masungit nga .
