It was still a cold day. Roger was sleeping next to me with his hands on his head. I got up with a big yawn.
"Well you are awake early?" Roger asked in a soft voice. He woke up.I turned around, "Yes I couldn't sleep anymore, you have to get up too sweetheart." I whispered. Roger nodded and sat up straight. "Yes, I have to leave soon."
"Until what time are you going to play drums this afternoon?" I asked while putting on my pants. Roger looked at the clock, "Until 1pm."
When we both got up, the most violent storms started with severe thunderstorms. Roger looked gloomy out the window, "Shit!" Roger whispered to himself. I put the bowl of cornflakes in front of Roger. "What is wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing, don't worry." Roger said quickly. I nodded and sat down at the table. "It's dark, I turn on a light." I said. When I turned on the light, there was a loud bang from the thunderstorm. BANG-
"Okay, I have to go." Roger said when he threw the bowl in the sink. I looked out the window, "Stay here honey, it's way too dangerous!"
Roger shook his head, "Our number needs to be practiced well, my dear." Roger said. He gave me a kiss. I turned on the radio and folded my arms. I listened to the sound.
"There is a violent storm over London, with strong winds, rain and severe thunderstorms. Close the doors and stay at home, don't take any chances!"
I pointed to the radio, "Do you hear what the radio says?" I said. Roger sighed, "I really have to go, please." Roger said. I looked out the window, "Fine, but turn on your car lights and be careful!" I said. Roger took my hand and kissed it. "I'll be fine, I'll be home in the afternoon."
I sighed and sat down at the table, looking at Roger putting on his coat. "I'll be right back, see you later!" Roger waved and gave a hand kiss. He opened the door and left the apartment.
I looked to the window to watch Roger drive away. I listened to the rain tapping on the windows. There Roger went to the recording studio in danger. I'm just quickly worried.
The phone rang, I walked over with a sigh.
Kim: With Kim, who is this?
Freddie: Good morning darling, is Roger still home?
Kim: No, he's on his way to the recording studio. He wouldn't listen to me
Freddie: Goddamn, I'm late to call. We are all at home because of the weather, he has to return!
Kim: Oh no, that's bad. He is all alone on the road. What should I do?
I panicked, Freddie had found a solution. He went to watch Roger, Freddie lived near the recording studio. I thanked Freddie and hung up the phone.
I sat on the couch and turned on the television. The news was there. It was about the bad storm. Several houses had been destroyed and a 13-year-old girl was missing on her way to school.
I put my hand over my mouth. How sorry I was.
___________
It was almost noon and I still hadn't gotten a phone call from Freddie. I was more and more concerned. The storm kept getting worse. The bangs were loud and the wind was almost blowing out the windows.
