Chapter 6

(Third person's POV)

December 31st 2004

The day of the 'incident'
It was 5hours to midnight and the boys were getting excited. Just like every year they would have a small party for them and their closest friends and family, nothing big, but what made this new year's special was the fact that they'd be celebrating it with their little sister. It would be her first one and they wanted to make it her best one yet.

"Hey dad could remind mommy to by some snacks for tonight?"  Xander asked.

"No problem kiddo."

Just when their dad was about to call their mother. Another person called and he obliviously took it.

"Hello, Am i speaking with Xavier King?" the unknown caller asked.

"Yes."

"I am sorry for disturbing you but I seems that I cannot reach your wife and she had arranged to pay her debts to our bank today but unfortunately  she hasn't. She had also written your name and number so i assumed you would know where she is, since its getting closer to the deadline."

"Can you just yell me the amount, I can pay on her behalf." he said tiredly

"We are sorry Mr. King but you do not have enough money in your account to pay off the debts."

"What do you mean not enough money?"

"I am sorry sir but since you have been depositing money, am afraid the amount remaining is not enough to pay off the debt. But can you please inform Mrs. King that it may be getting closer to the deadline ." then he cut the call. After that he received numerous calls from other banks and  even some employees calling to quit their job since the company was 'not stable' even some family members called saying that they "couldn't" make it. And it all happened in one night. The children watched as their father received call after call after call and they knew that by their father's pained expression something bad had happened.
