Forbidden Lover

Chapter 1. First Day

It was a late night evening and Dumbledore had asked all of the students to join The Great Hall, the hallway were full of loud and young unexperienced first year students and then there was me, a 5th year student that surely didn't belong with them. The Great Hall was filled by students that took their seats in their own house tables, as i walked in with the rest of the first year students i could feel everyones eyes on me and it made me nauseous, but i didn't want to make a joke out of myself  on my very first day at Hogwarts.

Rest of the teachers arrived, after a moment so did Dumbledore, he had a long white beard and he was wearing this long wine red & brownish robe as he took a seat. Professor McGonagall stood up with a list in her hand and holding the sorting hat in her other hand as she walked to the front of the entire school. All of the students turned their heads to pay attention to her and silence took over the room, except for my nervous breathing.

''Welcome back to Hogwarts and for the first year students, welcome. When i call your name you'll come forward and i shall place the Sorting hat on your head and you'll be sorted in to your houses'', McGonagall said as she prepared the hat for the first student. Now i definitely felt extremely nauseous but i had to stay calm.

''Seline Gindrum'', McGonagall called, Seline was sitting next to me and I could tell  by the look on her face that she was nervous, probably more nervous than i was, she stood up and headed towards the chair next to professor McGonagall as she placed the hat on her head.

''Hmm i see, yes just like them, intelligent eh? I know what to do.... RAVENCLAW'', sorting hat had placed her and suddenly clapping and cheering was coming from the Ravenclaws table as they greeted her. Seline got up from the chair with a little smile on her face, letting out a relieved sigh. I mean her parents were Ravenclaws too it made sense why she would be happy.  McGonagall lifted her list again to call out the next student, i closed my eyes hoping she wouldn't call my name, but she did.

''Isabella Wilson." McGonagall looked up from the list to search me with her eyes until my eyes met hers.

Oh crap, its happening...

I thought inside my head as i opened my eyes, that this was it, the nauseous feeling that i was holding back was fighting in my stomach, my legs felt numb like they were about give up on me but i had to do this, i had to go up there. When i finally found the courage to stand up i straightened my spine and lifted my chin.

No way i would let all of these people see that i was some new nervous girl, i mean getting sorted to your house is one of the most important moments in Hogwarts, in your life.

I took a seat when i heard another student mumble, ''She's not even a first year student'', McGonagall then turned to glance at me with a soft questioning look, ''Are you ready dear?''.

I swallowed hard and gave her a little nod, ''Y-yes i am''.

The Sorting hat was placed on my head and i closed my eyes, getting ready for the moment that could either be the best thing to happen to me or the worst thing.

"Oh interesting a 5th year student eh?  yes.. brave girl with a curious mind, yet desire to prove herself yes.. but where to put you-,

''Put me in Gryffindor, please '', i said quietly under my breath, nervously biting on my lip. The Sorting Hat quickly uttered, ''Gryffindor eh? Are you sure, you would make a great Slytherin, no? Then i shall put you in... GRYFFINDOR!''.

Once i opened my eyes i let out a relieved sigh and felt how the rising nauseous and head spinning was slowly fading away, i heard loud clapping and cheering from the Gryffindors table. I stood up from the chair making my way to their table as they greeted me with many hand shakes and pats on my shoulder. I took a seat on my new house table and turned back to look at McGonagall, she gave me a reassuring nod that i returned with a small smile.
