Isabella's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling the autumn warmth against my face as the sun light up the room, my hair messed up and tangled from all the twisting and turning in my bed, only getting few hours of sleep. I pulled myself up to sitting position, brushing the hair away from my face as i glanced over to Hermione's bed, noticing she had already woken up.

     clearly an early-bird....

I walked over to my drawer, pulling it open and grabbing my robe that was already given to us, after i changed in to it i grabbed my hair brush, and brushed my hair down trying to make myself look somewhat presentable. I took the timetable that was left on my nightstand to see what lesson i had first.

''10.30.. uhh i have potions, Snapes class''. I said as i checked the clock on the wall. ''10.35 crap, i am late!''.

I quickly grabbed my potions book that i had bought from Diagon Alley and rushed myself out of the girls dorm, i walked down the stairs and saw that the living room was empty since all of the students were already in their classes, i rushed over to open the door, and left the Common Room.

Great, my first day and i'm already late

I tightened my hold on my books that were pressed against my chest and quickly ran down the hallway that led to the Potions class. I took the piece of my hair that was on my face and tucked it behind my ear, taking a deep breath and pushed the door open. I took a quick glimpse around the classroom that was filled with Slytherins, few Hufflepuffs and one Gryffindor besides me.

Snape's gaze pointed at me, ''Finally decided to join the class, Ms.Wilson'', he said with a low drawled sarcastic voice and i felt everyones eyes on me, again.

''I'm sorry i overslept and it was hard finding the-'',

''I didn't ask, detention '', Snape interrupted, eyeballing me like i was an idiot. "Sit down", he comanded.

Great, detention on the first day, what else?

I looked around the room for an available seat but there was only one behind the class and it was next to Dracos. I slowly moved my legs forward and walked to the table placing my book on top of it, and pulling the chair out as i took a seat. I peered at him carefully with my side-eye so he wouldn't notice, but he didn't even flinch when i sat down next to him, instead he mumbled something under his breath and kept his eyes forward.

''Page 257 now and partner up'', Snape announced. I opened my book and realised Draco didn't open his, he was simply unbothered to do so and Snape didn't seem to care.

''We are on the page 257, you should ope-''

''What makes you think you can talk to me?'', he interrupted, his voice bored and scratchy from tiredness he leaned back on his chair, his eyes still focused forward.

I turned to face him bewildered look on my face, why was he being so rude to me? I thought to myself.

"Well clearly me and you have to work on this together and you not participating is just selfish''.

''You think i would actually work with someone like you? A Gryffindor? Over my dead body'', he scoffed letting out a loud roaring laugh, loud enough to make the two Hufflepuffs in front of us turn around.

I felt odd burning in my stomach either from being hungry because i missed breakfast or because he was being such an asshole, but i couldn't tell, i turned my gaze back on the book, and letting out a deep sigh. ''Clearly what they say about you is true then, i'm not surprised''.
