Kaylee's POV

My alarm went off at 5:30 so I dragged myself out of bed. I took a quick shower, then blow dried and straightened my hair. I threw on dark wash skinny jeans and a simple shirt. I put on my vans then headed downstairs.

My Mom was already down there drinking her coffee and reading the paper.

"Good morning honey." she said while sipping her coffee.

''Morning." I said blankly, she looked at me with hesitation in her eyes, but I gave her a look of reassurance. I grabbed some yogurt and fruit and sat in the living room watching Dance Moms as I ate.

Around 6:45, I ran upstairs to grab my backpack and pack it with my books. I threw on my jacket and said goodbye to my mom, then headed out the door. I started my Jeep and turned the heat on.

(A/N remember, she's a junior in high school so she can drive and Magcon hasn't existed yet, it's starting later in the story.)

I drove the 10 minute drive to school and parked my car. I walked in not knowing what was going to happen with Hayes. I went into the gym because I got there early to find my friends.

I was sort of popular, but we weren't the slutty type of popular, it was more you were really nice to everyone.

I found Makenna, Jessica and Kylie fairly quickly and they ran up to me.

"WHAT HAPPENED WITH HAYES, WHEN, WHERE, WHAT, WHY, HOW?!" they all shouted at me.

"I caught him making out with Kendall." I said sadly, remembering how I felt when I saw them.

"I'm getting my knife."

"I'm getting my gun."

"I'm getting my butter sock."

"I'm getting my Dorito bag." That came from Makenna, who we all stared at weirdly,

"What? I don't want to be hungry while we kill him."

I laughed and told them about our break. They all thought I did the right thing. Camria walked up to us and explained that she overslept and missed the bus. Which was hard to tell because she had a ton of makeup on and tight clothing. She seems like "that girl" but she's really nice.

We explained to her what had happened over the weekend.

"Oh, that's too bad I guess." she said innocently while twirling her hair.

She seemed suspicious, but I just brushed it off. Then the bell rang and Jessica and I headed to Mr. Johnston's math class.
