After eating breakfast, Rose opened all her presents, some of which included a big keyboard, two sonic screwdrivers from her favorite T.V show Doctor Who, and some Minecraft mini figures. Then they had all piled into the car and were now driving to Wonderland. "Such a shame about those kids." Rose's mom murmured. They were still in the neighborhood, and big yellow "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CHILD?" posters were plastered all over the place. Rose grumbled. It wasn't that she didn't care about the kids, but the posters didn't exactly lighten the mood. As they drove in silence, Rose imagined what the park would look like. She had seen pictures of it in the newspaper, but it was said to be way bigger in real life. They turned on to the highway and suddenly heard a loud BANG!! and the car swerved to the side of the road and stopped. "Oh no, oh no oh no oh no." Rose's father groaned as he climbed out of the car. "What is it? What's going on?" Rose asked frantically, glancing out the window. "We seem to have popped a tire." her mom replied, leaning back in her seat and closing her eyes. Rose could of sworn she saw a hint of a grin there. Her dad climbed back in the car, looking a bit frightened, and said "Well, it looks like we won't be going to the park today. Sorry sweetheart." Then he picked up his phone and called his friend Rob for a ride back home. The whole way there Rose was sulking. Great, just great. It was just her luck to be going to the greatest place on Earth and then have a tire pop. No! she scolded her self. They would try again when they got the car back from the repair place. She tried listening to Rob to tune out the bad thoughts. "...suspicious that all the kids who disappeared went to Wonderland the day they went missing!" He was saying, looking at her dad meaningfully, "And just now, when you guys are going there, your tire pops! I mean, don't tell me you think all these things are coincidences! There is something going on with that park!" "Now, Rob," her dad cut in, glancing at Rose nervously, "I'm sure you're just overreacting. Sure, it is strange, but that park is very big, it's easy for kids to get lost. And our car was never in good shape anyway." Rob just grumbled and didn't reply. That night, Rose had nightmares about millions of kids locked in cages, screaming and banging at the bars.
