*Jades p.o.v*
*2 years later*
I sat on the sofa in the dark the only light source being the telly. I flicked through the channels trying to find something decent to watch.
'So how did your career start' a woman said on the screen.
'Well' the camera switched to the person being interviewed. My jaw dropped. It was Conor. I would never forget that face. He hadn't changed a bit. His hair was a bit shorter but his sparkling pierced through my body.
'I started recording videos of myself singing and uploaded them to you tube. Ne-yo skyped me one night saying he had seen the videos and that he wanted to sign me' his voice sent chills down my spine. I hadn't thought of Conor since I had left. I sat on the edge of the sofa staring at the screen.
'So when is the album out then?' the lady asked.
'It came out yesterday actually' Conor smiled. I could feel tears forming in my eyes.
'So you got a girlfriend then?' the women asked proper flirting with him.
'I have only ever had one girlfriend and one stupid mistake of mine mucked that up. There's actually a song on the album, Just in Case, I wrote it for her' Conor said. He smiled lightly to the camera but you could see the hurt in his eyes. All the memories flooded back. The times we had spent together. I couldn't deal with watching this any longer. I turned it off and grabbed my laptop. I went on you tube and typed in Just in Case. It was good that I was home alone because I was crying my eyes out. After not talking to me for 2 years Conor had dedicated a song to me. I guess it was my fault really. I had blocked him on everything and had told no-one to give him my address. The way Conor sung made it sound as if he really meant every word. I needed to speak to him. The only way I could get in touch with him was through Jack. I hadn't spoke to him since I left as well. I don't even know why though. I guess it was just kinda awkward. I quickly typed in Jacks name hoping he hadn't changed his number. It rung a few times when Jack's voice answered.
'Hello' his cheery voice said.
'Jack?' I asked through the tears.
'Jade? Oh my gosh what's wrong? Why haven't you spoke to me for so long, its been 2 whole years. I've missed you so much' Jack said quickly.
'I've missed you too' I sobbed. 'Look is there any way that I could meet up with Conor. We really need to talk' I said wiping my tears away.
'Why don't you just ring him?' Jack asked.
'Okay I might have got a bit angry on the way up here and blocked everything to do with him' I laughed.
'What are you like! Yeah I could. Look Conor is doing a concert somewhere in Ireland, I could come pick you up and take you there' he said.
'Thank you ever so much Jack. Look can you not tell him I'm coming. I don't really want him to know just yet because its only just sinking in for me' I said.
'Sure. Look Jade you should have called me when you left. Its been hard for Conor. You just kind of disappeared out of his life all together' Jack sighed.
'I just didn't know what I would say if I did get in contact with him. Besides, I was extremely angry and annoyed at him' I huffed.
'Okay. Well I'll see you Monday then. Bye' Jack said.
'Bye' I said wiping away my tears. Monday. Monday. It was sunday. That gave me a night to let the thought of seeing Conor after two years sink in. What was I even going to say to him. I really hadn't thought this through. Finn hadn't spoke to Conor or Jack since we left either so I guess he could come along to. At least then I wouldn't feel as awkward.
I woke up and took my phone of the side.
'Pick you up at around 2 ish xx' Jack was coming round at two to take me to see Conor and it was already 10. Great. I quickly had a shower and slipped on a pair of jeans and a jumper. I sat at the table and tried to concentrate on my college work. I got about a page done when I gave up. Jack was coming round in half an hour and I couldn't stop fidgeting. I was nervous and scared yet I had no idea why. Why should I be nervous talking to someone I once loved. I say loved because most of the feelings had disappeared.
I sat for what felt like hours watching telly, my bag beside me ready to leave when I heard a knock at the door. I slowly walked over and opened it.
'JADE' Jack shouted jumping onto me.
'I have missed you so much' he said.
'Missed you to' I said my heart beating so fast.
'Come on then. We better leave now or you'll never get a chance to talk to Conor' Jack said turning towards his car. I locked the door and followed Jack into his car. We talked non - stop about everything we've done over the past years when we finally arrived.
'You scared' Jack asked me smiling.
'How do you know?' I said laughing.
'You look like you've seen a ghost. Don't worry Jade, Conor will be so pleased to see you' he said squeezing my hand. We got out of the car and Jack lead me through the back of the concert hall.
'Good luck' Jack said as I walked off into a busy corridor.
'Thanks' I said back. I pushed through trying to find Conor's dressing room.
'Scuse me' I said getting pushed around. Why were there so many people here, seriously.
'Woah watch where your going' someone said as I realised I had just knocked into someone.
'Conor' I said looking up into his blue eyes.
'Jade' he whispered slowly.
