I was about to close my eyes to sleep when my phone beeped, that means someone messaged me. So, I reached it from the nightstand.

"Still up?" The message was from Martin. My classmate that I used to like. Yes, I used to like. Hindi ko alam bakit hindi ko na siya gusto kung kailan nagddate na kami.

I remember how we ended up dating...
Malapit na matapos yung school year nung nag reply siya sa story ko sa messenger. Then he started asking me about our classmate named Sean who happens to like me. It's his friend so naisip ko baka nilalakad niya sakin kaya siya nagtatanong.

When he asked me kung gusto ko ba yung kaibigan niya, I answered honestly and said "no". Malakas loob kong lumandi lalo na sa chat kaya inamin ko na sa kanya ako may gusto. Then suddenly he said that he likes me too. Simula non madalas na kami mag-chat. Then, one day, inaya niya ko manuod ng movie sa araw ng birthday niya. Pumayag naman ako, hanggang sa nasundan nang nasundan yung mga dates namin.

Should I reply? Or not? Kasi sa totoo lang ayoko na siyang kausap. Hindi na ko kinikilig sa mga banat niya, madalas natatawa na lang ako e.

Minutes of contemplating whether to reply or not... I decided to reply.

"Hey.. " I replied.

Seconds later he replied, "What you do?"

Malamang nakahiga dahil it's bedtime na kaya.

Instead of typing that as a reply, I typed, "Martin, I think we should end this. Let's just be friends."

After sending it, I put my phone on silent.

Time to sleep!

"Kuya Les, text na lang po kita kapag papasundo na po ako." I said to my driver before stepping out of the car.

Today is my first day being a college student. This university is different from the university where I graduated senior highschool. Nag try ako noon dito pero hindi ako pumasa sa entrance exam kaya sa ibang school ako nakapag-senior highschool. Buti at sinuwerte ako ngayong college at napasa ko ang entrance exam.

Kaya ngayon naglalakad na ako papunta sa Business Administration building para sa una kong subject.

Inayos ko muna ang suot kong maong skirt bago tumayo para pumunta sa harapan.

"Hi! Good morning. I am Maria Elizabeth Parker, 'Ria' for short, 18 years old. I like to read books, watch series or movies, and I love to dance. I hope we can all be friends and be successful someday." I smiled before going back to my seat.
