"Dad, where are you going?"

I woke up around 5 in the morning only to see my father leaving.

He stopped from entering the car and look at me to answer my question with, "I had to go back to work, princess."

Being the understanding daughter that I am, I just nodded and said nothing.

He walk to me and kiss my forehead. "You can always call Dad whenever you want, okay?"

"I will. Take care."

That was the last time I saw my Dad, which is 3 months ago. Lagi ko siyang tinatawagan pero madalang ko lang siyang nakaka-usap. Mas madalas ko pa nga nakaka-usap ang Secretary niya because whenever he didn't answer my call, I'll call his Secretary instead and ask how's my Dad and why can't he answer my phone call.

My Dad is a businessman. He's so busy that we barely talk kahit sa phone man lang. He owns a company so I understand. I need to understand.

Bata pa lang naman ako ipinaliwanag na sa akin ni Mommy kung bakit wala lagi ang Daddy.

I grew up without my Dad beside me kaya sanay na akong wala siya palagi. I didn't ask for his attention because Mom made me understand why Dad's always not home. Kahit naman ganoon ang sitwasyon namin ay hindi naman lumayo ang loob ko kay Dad because when he's home, he'll give me his full attention, pambawi sa mga araw na wala siya. I know that he's working to give me everything I need and want so I will not complain.
