BLACK - Chapter - 1

I am laying on the bed, I can hear the chirp of the bird and the noise of children playing outside. My room is big with Windows, walls with painting and plenty of books. I share my room with my younger sister. She is very cute and pretty.
My mother must be preparing breakfast and my father must be ready for his office.
I am waiting eagerly to gulp the beauty of this world with my eyes..... But the sad thing is that  I am unable to do so..........
....... Yes, I am blind......
For me this world is nothing but - BLACK******

Hi, I am Yoonji and am 20 years old.
I was a normal child with perfect eyesight before. I was more lively and happy at that time, until I turned 16.
That day is so vivid in my memory. It was my birthday and I was so excited. But little did I knew about the awaiting dark future of mine.
While returning home from school, I saw  a little kid running and a truck running towards him.
I ran to save that kid as fast as I could but.........( Yes you thought right) in the end I was lying down in the pool of my own blood.
Later I woke up in the hospital but guess what....... The world I knew had changed completely...... It's all dark and it's all BLACK

I sometimes think, if I had chosen a different path,  if I would have decided to step away........ maybe I  would have been happier now. My eyes would have been safe.
The worst thing is that I regret saving that kid and I hate myself for feeling that. I feel like am in a huge pit and darkness surrounds me....... my entire world is BLACK

This was all a glimpse of my life......
I woke up and went off my bed. My sister had gone for her school. Every one in the house is busy and their life is full of light except me.
I am really tired of my life. I always require help from others for doing even a small task. I feel myself like a burden on people around me.
I stepped out of my room and went to my mom. My mom served me breakfast.
I really wish to walk around on my own..... I really want to live my old life...... But the truth is(you already know)........
After having my breakfast I went out through my house without telling my mom while she was busy doing her chores.

(now present time) (Yoonji's perspective)
I walking on the streets. It's been a long time since I have walked around by myself. I am actually heading towards children park. I can hear people and vehicle horns. I can smell various things. I remember directions, I can definitely make up to the park.
It's feels so refreshing, all by myself without anyone's help. I have decided to move and I will continue moving.

(Yoonji's perspective)
I've been walking since half an hour why haven't I reached my destination also I get a feeling of uneasiness. I guess(yes you thought right)... I have lost my way.
Ah... .. I can hear some sound..... Umm..... sounds like a car.....and sounds like a scream...... It's a girl's scream.
It's terrifying..... I can also hear voices of some men......
Are they kidnapping her. I..... Why am I so useless...... I not even sure what exactly is happening.
Then someone  suddenly said 'look at that girl, she must have seen everything'
I feel like my heart beat has stopped.... I can hear footsteps running towards me. So it means I need to run.

(reader's perspective)
Yoongi started running. She bumped into several things. She tumbled and tripped. But she got up and ran again. She got bruises on her knees and toes. But that didn't concerned her. The only thing she thought of.... (yes you thought correct again) was to run.
..... ***...... ***........ ***......... ****..........

(Yoonji's perspective)
I gathered all my strength and ran away as far as I could. I saw a beautiful garden and an old person watering the plants in the night . I turned around to see if those people were still chasing me.
But they were not following me anymore. I felt relaxed and entered that garden.
That garden was really beautiful. Green grass, red and violet flowers were all so appealing to my eyes. And their were beautiful glowing butterflies. It was all so beautiful, so mesmerizing and cheerful. But suddenly I realized - (the same thing you realize already) I am able to see. But how is it possible? How can I see?
It's nothing like I hit my head or something, then how in the world is this possible?
