Flora's POV:
I felt a chill as my eyes set onto Erebor.
"Erebor." Thorin breathed next to me. We had stolen weapons from the armory at Lake-Town, but where caught because of Kili's leg. However the King let us have any weapons that we so disired, after Thorin's speech about flowing gold to rebuild the town. Which had helped.
When Thorin had made Kili stay behind, I felt bad for Kili, also Fili and Oin who agreed to stay behind with him. And then there is Bofur, the one who drank to much and over slept.
I was nudged and I shook my head of my thoughts and noticed that everyone was moving and only Dwalin and I remained. I smiled at the warrior dwarf, who I have come to secretly love. Which is one complication that I have experienced during this trip. Loving Dwalin and Thorin. And becoming a shapeshifter. I never knew I was one, until I changed into a snow leopard when we were running from Beorn. I remember Tauriel telling Thranduil that a skin-changer married a hobbit in the Shire, my father of course.
Dwalin leads me towards the others and I lean against him for support. I feel strangely different in a way that is both familiar and unfamiliar. I notice a mark begining to form on Dwalin's arm that was not there before. I felt my breath hitch as I slowly began to realize what it is.
The marking that a Shape Shifter makes on his or her mate. Beorn showed me before we had left for Mirkwood, and that is definitely the mark it takes, but he also said it is different for every Shape shifter.
"What's with the face?" my father asked as Dwalin and I joined the others. Everyone turned to look at me.
"What face?" I questioned. My father looks from me to Dwalin and back again. He gave me a weird look, but dropped the subject.
A/N: Comment below on your thoughts on this chapter. I know it is rather short, this story is coming to it's close I think. A couple more chapters and then it will be done. What do you think the mark looks like?
