Chapter 14

Me, Bo and Charlie were sat on the hill for a little while until it got a bit chilly.

"Charlie?" I asked him.

"Yes beautiful?" He replied.

I love it when he says that. I keep thinking he's talking about someone else though.

"It's a little bit cold." I told him, looking down at my hands which had goosebumps on.

Charlie immediately put his arm round me and cuddled me.

"It is very cold. Do you want to go back to mine?" He asked.

"Um...yeah! Sure!" I replied.

"I've got to go now guys and see Katie. But I'll see you all tomorrow yeah?" Bo said.

"Yeah sure. Bye Bo!" I replied.

Charlie took my hand and we walked across the field. A couple of his mates came up to Charlie and he gave them a high five with his free hand.

"Great game Charlie! Is this your girlfriend?" One of them asked.

I was already shaking because I was cold but having some quite tall teenage boys stood infront of me didn't help.

I hate anxiety.

"Yeah she is. This is Millie. Uh, Millie this is some of the team." Charlie said.

"Hey Millie." They all said.

Wow, that's a lot of deep voices.

"Hello." I replied, my voice much more quiet and shaky.

"Yeah, Mils is pretty shy." Charlie said, kissing me on the cheek, making me blush slightly.

"You two look good together." One of this friends said.

Why thank you, how very kind.

"Anyway, we'll see you at training somewhen." They said to Charlie.

Charlie said goodbye to them and we carried on walking until we got off the field and out the gate. It then started to rain.

"Oh my god." Charlie said, looking at the rain that had started to fall down heavily.

"Oh wow and I did my hair this morning." I replied, sighing.

"I've got a solution." Charlie said.

I looked over at him in shock. He took his t-shirt off and placed it ontop of my head, keeping my hair dry.

"Oh my god Charlie, so we're gonna walk to your house with you shirtless?" I asked.

Not that I was complaining or anything 😏

"Well I'm gonna walk. And your gonna get carried." Charlie said.

Before I knew it, he had picked me up and carrying me back to his house.

"Charlie... Only you would do something like this!" I said, laughing.

"I can't have my princess getting covered in rain." He said, stopping and kissing me and then carried on.

"You're so cringey." I said, laughing at him.

"I'm cringey because I love you." He replied.

I looked at him and smiled and that was when I realised

I really do love this boy.
