"Well that's promising " thought a rather horny Hisoka who then ended up taking a long cold shower that didn't help him a single bit with his damn feelings. "Damn it " he thought "this has always worked before, why not now?"

He felt a still small voice say to him in reply "Because you love my child Chi"

"Huh, I guess the voice is correct" he thought and wondered what to do about it as he truly was the worst in faithfulness, and he knew that he was totally self-serving.

"Believe in me and you shall be saved" flashed before his eyes, "Damn that book" he grumbled "Its sayings always interrupt me now."

He left the shower wearing the clothes lent to him and his makeup off for once. It was mainly because he had forgotten to bring it with him as he wasn't expecting to rescue Chi.
Chi saw him and screamed as she didn't recognize the man with golden tan skin, golden eyes and salmon hair, in her house.

"Chi!" Hisoka reassured her, " Chi... It's me Hisoka "

"Hisoka?..."

"Yes, remember, you lent me these clothes..."

She looked at him closely and touched his face in wonder..."You are even better looking this way...I wish you were like this all the time. Sorry for not recognizing you"

Hisoka looked at her gently "Well then, just for you I will stay like this but don't expect else times. It's part of my armour. "

Chi looked at him blankly not understanding the concept but accepting that he had given something special of himself to her, something that no one else had since he became the Jester. She wondered if it was because of what he had said.

"Let's go out for breakfast!" She suggested, " I am not really a morning person, so I don't usually eat at home in the morning. "

A look of terror flicked across Hisoka's face, he took a breath in and said "Ok Where to?"

"Just follow me" she smiled and took him to her favourite place for breakfast.

"What would you like?" She asked, careful not to say his name. She looked at him and her breath caught again as he truly was stunning without makeup.

"Same as you..." He said uncomfortably and went to hide in a booth furthest away from everyone. He even faced away so no one but her would see him. He felt really uncomfortable as he was not use to being dressed in anything other than the Jester suit. Chi looked after him in frustration then pity as she realized that he really was uncomfortable with the situation. She smiled at the attendant, ordered and paid for the breakfast and joined Hisoka at his chosen table.

"Hope you like coffee, I didn't know what drink you like and you disappeared before I could ask."

"Coffee is fine" he smiled at her. "What do you want to next?"

For the next week they enjoyed each other's company and really got to know each other well. Hisoka would just hold her gently Whenever she broke down over the events in the street. Hisoka failed to lie about anything to her, even though telling her the truth made her cry. He actually learned basic decency and real love in that time, it was like Hisoka without makeup was a different person. In truth, he was. He decided that when he was Hisoka without makeup he would follow Chi's God's way. With well, he didn't like his chances of being decent. He told Chi as much too, which she accepted as what else could she do.

She knew that the time she had spent with him had ruined her for anyone else but she held onto her virtue as she believed in waiting for marriage before having sex, this was much to Hisoka's disgust as all he could think of was her. He took her ring shopping at the end of the week and together they picked out an engagement ring. He had it made especially in her favourite stone and took her driving to a favourite spot of his near OrleansNew. He lay out a picnic rug, sat her down and proposed for the third time. This time he was accepted.

"Hisoka, who do you want at our wedding? I want my family and friends...but if you don't want to, I understand. "

"If we marry as the Jester, I can invite people but otherwise I can't...I trust no one but you with this face. But marrying the Jester puts a target on your back if it is found out that you're my wife. I have made many enemies"

"I will marry the Jester and risk it. It would be too weird for my family if no one shows up to represent you."

"Ok I will organise a very private place to marry. "

"Who will you invite, Hisoka?"

"Not a great number I am afraid...most of the people I know would kill me or you." He thought about it and came up with a sum total of 4 maybe 5 people. "I can only invite 4 maybe 5 people and two are risks. I can plus 1 them but that's it I am afraid. The plus 1 I have no idea on but I have to start somewhere."

"I will just have to have a small wedding then" sighed Chi

"How about we hire a luxury boat to marry on? It would make it difficult for people to gate crash."

"Ok Hisoka, I had hoped for a church wedding... I will let you sort it to what you think is best, but first you need to talk to my Dad"

"Not a conversation I am looking forward to..." Hisoka shuddered and said "Ring him now before I lose my nerve."

So, Chi's Dad was rung. "Hi Chi-Anna " her Dad answered on speaker phone. Her name threw Hisoka off for a minute then he asked her father for her hand in marriage. Her father graciously accepted provided Hisoka was accepted by his daughter Chi-Anna.

Chi said "of course I accept him Daddy, warts and all... Dad I can only invite my best friends and immediate family to the wedding, no extended family. "

"Why is that Chi?"

"Hisoka doesn't have a family only friends."

"Ah, ok"

"Bye Dad I love you, give Mum my love too."

"Bye Chi-Anna"
