Stuck Between Two [Completed]

It was mind blowing. All Might himself made Izuku into who he is right now, standing in front of me and Katsuki at this very moment. I just couldn't believe it. I blinked once, twice. I just couldn't believe it, but it seemed to be true. The file Izuku gave us has all the evidence needed to prove his claim. "I still can't believe this. To think that All Might himself trained you. Wait, but why did he pick you to be the next leader? There must've been other members that've been here longer and have more experience then you. So why?"

Izuku rapped his chin in thought, turning and walking over to the giant windows that lined the back of the office. "That's a good question. You see, when he appointed me, we all asked that question. And why he was appointing me now. He knew that there was a high chance of him dying on that mission, so that's why he chosen then to do it. But as it why, I can't quite say," Izuku answered, turning his head to look at me and Katsuki. "I guess it's because he thought of me as a son? He did mention that a few times. But even then, that's not a good enough reason. He never really gave us an answer. All he said was 'when I die, you'll become the new leader in my place. I believe you're a good fit, and that's all there is to it. There's no other reason as to why I chose you. I just believe you can lead this place in a good direction, better then I could have ever done.' And before we could ask anything else, he was off."

I turned to Katsuki and he turned to me. I could see my own shock reflected in his eyes, and I knew that both of us were far too shocked to ask another question at that moment. But we didn't need to, as Izuku turned to face us once more. "While I couldn't get any answers from him, I vowed myself to him that I'd become a leader he could be proud of. I vowed that I would lead this place in a way that would help all of us, and help those around us. While we have and still do lose members time and time again, we all know the cost of staying here. Anyone can leave whenever they want to, but we all stay for our own reasons. This is a place that I also call home. It's where I can be myself and not have to worry about anyone else thinking differently of me because we all accept each other. While I have so many other reasons for being here, that's my main one." He leaned on his desk as he waited for the two to talk.

I opened and closed my mouth like a gaping fish as I processed his words. "B-but wait. He died a decade ago. So you've been the leader for a full decade now? But you would've only been around 10, not even that! Why would he choose such a young child to be the leader of the top gang in the whole of Japan! It just makes no sense!" I don't know who I was trying to reason with, be it Izuku, or myself. "I just don't understand his logic. 'I believe you're a good fit, and that's all there is to it.' You were a literal child!"

Izuku sighed as he sat back down, gesturing for me and Katsuki to take a seat at his desk. "Look. I understand that it's hard to believe. I don't know why he'd choose a child anymore then you two do. It's just how it is--"

"Bullshit!" Katsuki cut him off, slamming his shaking fist on the desk. "This is all bullshit. I've known you my whole damn life. I would've fucking known if something like this was happening. I don't care if there's photo evidence, I call bullshit on this whole thing." He was seething with anger, but neither Izuku or I had the energy to calm him. "How is it that a fucking ten year old became the fucking leader for the number 1 gang?!"

Izuku just sighed as he propped his head up on his palm, closing his eyes. He once again explained what he had just said, reiterating that he doesn't know why he was chosen, but that All Might did in fact choose him and there was nothing anyone could do about it. "Look. I understand why you're sceptical. But it's just what it is. Only he could choose the best candidate for leader. And if he chose me, then so be it. He must've had a reason, so I'll trust in that and lead this gang to the best of my ability. And if that means becoming enemies with those I care for and love, then so be it." He pushed away from his desk, his swivel chair turning around and facing away from us. "This is why I never wanted you two to find out. Cause we'd have to be enemies. I doubt anyone in your organisations would want to coincide with us."

I turned to face Katsuki and he faced me. We both nodded, knowing what we should do. "Izuku," I started, looking at the chair to see if there's any movement. "We don't have to be enemies. And beside, our members can't deny us. If they wanted to, they would've left long ago. That, or they would've been shot on the spot." He seemed to tense up as I opened my mouth once more. "We'd like to join you."

Izuku started shaking, though I couldn't tell from what. "Not so much join, but we'd become partners. I don't want to be demoted from leader to a fucking nobody. So, what do ya say, nerd?" Katsuki finished, slamming his hand down on the desk.

We both watched silently as Izuku continued to shake. We were worried, but we didn't want to push him. We leaned back and waited for what was about to come. Suddenly, the chair chattered to the floor and a green blur tackled us out of our seats and down to the ground. I hit my head, but I couldn't care less as I saw tears streaming down Izuku's face. They dripped down onto my cheek and I reached up to rub the tears away. "W-why the fuck are you crying?" Katsuki stuttered slightly as he tried to prop us up.

"I-I..." he couldn't get the words out through his tears as he just sobbed harder, tightening his hold on us. "I-I'm just s-s-so h-happ-py!" He stuttered through sobs and hiccups, more tears replacing the old. "W-we can f-f-form a-a part-tne-er shi-ship and h-help each o-o-other out-t."

I turned my head as far as I could to see Katsuki who was smirking. "Hell yeah nerd. But I'm still the leader of my gang. You can't boss any of them around, got it?" Izuku nodded, a smile forming on his face. "Good. Now stop yer crying. We have a contract to sign."
