Vince and the unthinkable

I was actually expecting my unwanted male roommate to be a total stranger, whether he'd be gay or impotent; not someone whom I've had a brief encounter with, fucking drooled on his cardigan, sniffed on, collided my body on, sleep talk on, played candy crush on his phone and showed him my 'ADHD' ignorance.

Such a brief but memorable encounter with the passenger who now goes by the name 'Vince'. I'm sure he was given that name out of anger coz he was a trouble baby. The actual pronunciation of it cannot elude any form sternness in sound, a pure 'biting' name in clenched teeth I bet. Vince.

However, Since the deity up there hates my guts and wants to humiliate me for god knows what... I'm being paired with him in a room. Worse luck, curse you Judas Iscariot. Jesus betrayer.

We both said "You?!" in surprise and unison. Yeah sure, he wasn't expecting me either

So I guess we're on the same page

"Oh hey. Vince" Jeffery's voice cuts through and you can actually hear a tone of spite as he mentions 'Vince', he knows him too? "I'll leave you two for now since you've met your roommate. But before I take my leave" he pulls out his cellphone for me , "do me the honours of punching down your numerical digits that can help me reach you or track you in case of any emergency or you need a friend to run to for a safe haven" he says with a sinister smile.

This dude is really up to something I'm sure of it but whatever it is, I'll find out sooner or later. As I was about to reach out and take Jeffery's phone to give him my number, oblivious of the fact that we have another presence, Vince quickly snatch it and toss it across the opposite door post.

"What the fuck dude" Jeffrey bolts up against him

Ready to punch and fight Vince

"What the hell was that for? Are you bipolar or nuts?!" I step in beginning to freak out.

Is this the dude I'm going to stay with for a whole year?

"Are you getting in already or should I just shut the door so you two can flirt elsewhere Missy." Vince snaps at me quizzically.

"What is wrong with you, if you can't stand our presence you could have just walk out or vanish instead of tossing someone's iPhone 11 pro. Do you know how much it costs?"

Vince completely ignores my ranting and drags my luggage inside the room, even though he wasn't asked to do so then he violently shuts the door on us which caused me to jump up a little

I'm completely stunned

"Just ignore him, he's fucked up" Jeffrey says and walks to pick up then faces me with a smile "I just hope you will be okay living with him" checking the condition of his phone

"It's cracked." I comment with concern

"Yeah he's going to pay for it. I guess I'll have to take your number some other time then" Jeffrey says still adamant on exchanging contacts with me

"I guess so, my battery is dead, will probably see you around"

Touché.

Thinking of which I need to quickly get in and charge my phone. It has to be on since my family are probably dying to reach me on video call and my childhood crush Liam.

"See you soon Elise" Jeffrey bids goodbye and make way to leave.

I nervously turn on the door knob to open and walk into the room.

"Wow, so huge and magnificent!" I exclaim in awe

No sight of Vince but I see my luggage on the other side of the room where my supposedly bed is. He has placed it on top of the bed
