34. After Party

Niall didn't stop in front of you like the others did, he went forward and pulled Michael into a hug leaving you staring at Maria.

"Well, isn't this a lovely surprise." You stated making Harry laugh.

"Yeah, Maria is going to be performing with us tonight at the after party and that's why she's here, in case you were wondering that is." Harry told you making you look at Maria with a surprised expression.

"Don't look at me like that!" She snapped, "hell, don't even look at me, I can't be seen talking to you. This is so embarrassing."

Harry walked away with Maria leaving you, Michael, Niall, Taylor, Zayn, Louis and Liam awkwardly standing there. Taylor started to panic.

"Why?" She asked as she stepped forwards to get the One Direction boy's attention.

"Why what?" Louis asked and you heard Taylor scoff from in front of you.

"Don't give me that, you know what I'm asking." She stated but none of he boys answered her. "Why is she here?" She asked, her voice breaking midsentence.

"H-Harry wanted to piss you all off so he invited her." Niall admitted before receiving glares from his band mates.

"Is she really performing with you tonight?" Michael asked, and Niall nodded.

"Yeah, I just hope she can sing." Zayn laughed nervously. Michael shook his head.

"Well, I hate to break it to you lads," he paused, "she can't."

"Oh that's just fabulous." Liam stated before he nodded and walked away. With Louis and Zayn following. That left Niall with you.

"I'm so sorry about all this," he began as he leaned in closer, "I wanted to warn you but they took my phone away."

"What?" Taylor asked in shock, "they really took your phone away?"

Niall nodded and looked down in disgust.

"It's like I don't even know them anymore. I thought we had a breakthrough but they've gotten bad again." He explained.

"Don't worry about it Niall, it's their choice. You're still alright and that's all that matters." You said and Niall offered you a smile before beginning to walk away.

"Well I've got to go, but I'll see you guys at the after party." He said before he disappeared into the crowd of celebrities. Taylor turned around and looked at you. You just didn't know what to do but before any of you could say anything Luke, Ashton and Calum walked over to you.

"I could have sworn I saw," Ashton began but Michael cut him off.

"You did." He stated as he ran his hands through his hair.

"Really? Isn't she meant to be in Australia?" Ashton asked. Michael shrugged.

"Who knows? She's here now, so let's just stay out of her way." He said and you all agree'd.

You watched a few performances and you loved it when they gave the awards out. It was the best evening you'd had in a long time. But you were absolutely ecstatic about the after party. You wanted to be able to meet and talk to some of your favourite people. Beyoncé was going to be there and you were particularly excited about meeting her.

When you arrived at the venue the after party was being held at you and Taylor nipped to the toilets to go for a wee. You were laughing with Taylor as you walked in but you were soon cut short by the person you hated most.
