Meeting the Kyūbi no Kitsune

Third Person's POV

Uzumaki Naruto, who is currently 4 years old was walking around Konohagakure. As he was walking around, the villagers gave him glares and gossiped behind his back.

"It's him again"
"That demon should've died 4 years ago"
"What was the Fourth Hokage thinking?"
"Don't talk to him. We don't know what trouble he may cause"

Naruto only frowned from the gossips and glares. He may be a 4 year old but he understood every word the villagers were saying. He ran quickly to his apartment, went in and closed the door locking it. He lied down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. 'Am I really... a demon?' he thought to himself. 'Did my parents leave me because I'm a demon?' 'Do other kids avoid me because I am a demon?' and he continues to ask himself different questions ending each one with the word 'demon'.

His heart felt heavy, because he was sad that no one acknowledged him, excluding the Third Hokage, and Teuchi and Ayame from Ichiraku Ramen. He closed his eyes, fighting back from the tears that threatened to pour out of his eyes. But in the end, he cried silently.

After a few minutes of crying Naruto finally calmed down and exhaled. Thinking about his current life making him more sad. Since he didn't want to cry again he went to sleep.

He woke up finding himself in a sewer, with water on the floor that reached above his knees. He got up and observed the place trying to figure out how he ended up there. Then he felt a powerful presence, he looked ahead and walked to where the source of the presence was coming from. He turned a left and walked towards the darkness. As he walked into the light, he was greeted with a large gate in front of him, with a seal at the center.
"Where am I?" Naruto asked to himself

"You're in your mindscape" a powerful voice said, Naruto looked at the gate and tried to see through the other side. And the one on the other side of the gate finally presented himself to Naruto, revealing a red-orange colored fox with red eyes and black slits, black fur around the eyes that stretched up to its ears, and nine long tails.

"So my jailer comes to greet me huh?"

"Who are you?" Naruto asked, looking at the large fox in awe, the fox let out a small growl

"I am the Kyūbi no Kitsune (Nine-tailed Fox)"

"Kyūbi.. so you are the reason why people hate me?" although it didn't show on his face, the Kyūbi was quite surprised that his jailer knew or had the idea of why he is hated.

"Do you hate me for it?" the Kyūbi asked, Naruto just shook his head
"Not really" the Kyūbi was a bit taken aback from Naruto's reply. He let out a deep growl as he lowered his head to see the young boy closer and glared at him

"Do you fear me?" he asked as if he was threatening him. Naruto stared at the Kyūbi and shrugged
"No" Naruto's reply seemed to anger the Kyūbi who let out a rawr

"How are you not afraid of me?" Naruto stared at the Kyūbi who was mad
"Because instead of seeing you as a monster or demon, I actually see you as a big kind of little fuzzball" Naruto said as he smiled a bit at the large fox. The Kyūbi let out a loud roar, obviously mad from what Naruto called him

"You brat! I am the Kyūbi no Kitsune, feared by all! And you have the gal to call me a little fuzzball?!" The Kyūbi asked Naruto, who continue to stare at the fox
"But it's true.." and with that, the large fox gave up

"You're a weird kid.."

"It seems like it" there was silence between the both of them. Naruto continued to stare at the fox and asked
"I heard you attacked the village 4 years ago. Mind if you tell me about it?" The Kyūbi looked at Naruto and looked away
